Nice down to earth and unpretentious bar. Really good range of beers including many local brews. Nice staff, comfortable place to drink. The bar is located in a very historic looking building overlooking an impressive square. They also do coffee and non alcoholic drinks.
Chill atmosphere, good diversity of beers and friendly staff :
Edgy bar in the center of Gent. Nice to order something to drink and hang out, both inside under the umbrellas on a nice summer day or inside with a very edgy modern look. The service was at the bar, meaning that nobody will come to take the orders. We had to find out there because we were waiting and waiting, nobody from the staff thought to come and tell us tourists. Also because there was anything saying that it was like that. Staff was in general a little bit cold but they know English.
The worst sangria i've ever drunk. When i said the waiter that the sangria is very bitter and not tasty she called her colleagues and they all tried it. As the opinions were divided, they did not do anything with it.
It's perfect for having a drink in the evening on the terrace. After that you can go inside for a little party till 1am. Try the nature wine!
A wonderful bar located at one of Ghent's great historic squares, the Vrijdagmarkt. Café VenTura doesn't offer the widest variety of drinks, but will definitely satisfy anyone in search of refreshment and delightful atmosphere. During summer, its terras allows for comfortable basking in the sun. In winter, it transforms into a more cosy setting, accompanied by warmth and ambient lighting. VenTura is a bar for all ages, but is especially popular with young adults, adding up to its vibrant character. The QR code ordering system is very efficiënt and pleasant to use. Definitely one of my favorite places to have a drink with friends.

I wish it was open every day of the week. I talked to the bartender with the ginger hair. He even offered me his drink because the bar was closing and they weren't serving anymore. He was so nice to me. I already knew as soon as i saw his aura. It was a bright orange! Very good vibes!! When he handed me my drink his drink our hands touched for a short moment. A moment I'll never forget. I felt safe and I'm sure he did as well. He has a very wise soul.
Nice terrace in the summer but always very crowded inside once the DJ starts. Beer often gets served in wine glasses once it's crowded so not the best place to do a beer tasting with friends but if you're not picky, this is the place to be.
