I had an excellent experience with the store manager. He greeted me at the door, showed what I needed, and double-checked to ensure I was okay. He seemed genuinely empathetic to my problem and offered several solutions. When I asked to give my complements to his boss, he joked that he could not give out the district manager's phone number, but asked for my review. I believe his name is Donelle.
I try to avoid this place when at all possible. Staff is only educated enough to push specific deals which is typically iPhone stuff. Android might as well not exist. Don't even try to get technical with them because they just have no clue at all. I've literally been in here multiple times and heard different associates spout of incorrect nonsense to people just as clueless. New phones and high end models are rarely in-stock. Save yourself some time and grief, watch a YouTube video and order online.
I only went into this store to pay a bill at their SELF PAY machine for a friend of mine that I had given a ride ... The store location us a bit tricky getting into their small parking lot ... Very crowded and lots of people waiting to be helped ... The SELF PAY Machine does not give you CHANGE so make sure you have the exact amount of your Bill ... If you pay more than what is DUE it will be applied to your next bill ... No one greeted me or offered me assistance but I knew where the SELF PAY Machine was ... When you enter their store it is on LEFT side in the BACK CORNER ... This isnt a fair rating based on their Service because I did not need help ... Lots of folks waiting so that must mean something right ? Monday 12/5 ... I was pleasantly surprised with a response from the owner of this Verizon location ... Thank you for responding ... As I mentioned your Store was full of customers so that in itself says something positive ... The plus is that you actually care enough to address any concerns or comments posted ... Very professional ... Thank you again ...

When walking in the person putting people on the wait list did not acknowledge me so when I finally figured out we had to be put on a list customers that walked in after me got signed in before me even though he knew i walked in first. While he was singing someone in i quickly asked him if we needed to sign in and he was very ugly to me. The person that waited on us kept stopping to help other people. He was not very helpful with trying to get us what we needed. He even said im trying to hurry up and get you out of here. We waited over an hour and did not want to be rushed whem singing up for something for 36 months. Very disappointed with the whole transaction
Changed my rating as manager reached out to follow up. I respect the quick response and hope for better results for future customers. Customer service by employees was extremely lacking. Left a voicemail for general manager as some serious concerns.
They didn't help us at all, everything had to be done online. My question is why do they have phones on display, if they can't sell them? Not happy with Verizon at all. Would definitely not recommend Verizon!!!!!
Horrid service, dismissive and insulting. Told us to call Verizon tech support after erasing my saved and needed voice mails. Warning! Don't hand these people your phone! They are only interested in sales and not service.
Donnele & Teddy were super helpful correcting some issues I had experienced with the Hampton store and an online order. Next time I have issues I will go to the Newport News Verizon store first. Thanks guys!
Was sold a phone I didn't really like was told it was a better phone than what I had, first lie Bluetooth sucks, tech service could not fix the problem. They told me to go to this store to exchange for the phone I wanted in the first place, second lie. When I got there the store told me I would have to pay $395.00 and then they would give me $60.00 trade in towards the phone I wanted. How's that for being a paying customer for over 20 years.
