Food tasted great and the coffee was excellent and always full! The waitress was very pleasant and kept on top of everything. Would go againFood: 4/5
I don't know if the waitress was having a bad day but if so it reflected in the service and attitude. The food was ok but my tiny granddaughter got a huge side of fries while my older bigger granddaughter got a very small one ?!? Also when I asked what the additional charge was on the bill as I thought there might have been mistakenly a duplicate charge, I received rudeness and was told they charged extra for lettuce and tomatoes. I didn't order a deluxe I ordered regular so I assumed it was included when she asked if I wanted it. Also they charge 4% more if paid by credit card and state it is 4% less a savings of 8% if you pay cash but...they say the savings are already reflected in the original price! What a bunch of...So for 3 meals 1 being a child's meal the bill came to $60 with the tip. We won't be getting lunch there again any time soon.
Fast and friendly service, good foodFood: 4/5
Maybe it was due to us coming in right before the kitchen changed from breakfast to the lunch menu.... but wow our Omelet FELT ....rubbery? It was weird like the eggs were weird. It tasted different as well. If you check my reviews you will read and see many Western/Denver Omelets ...mostly as it is hard to mess them up. It had what looked/felt like cheap lunch meat ham in it. It didn't help the rubbery feel. Perhaps the chef subbed for more lunch related ingredients. Regardless we left talking about it and now use it as our gauge for other Omelets. Service was ok...seemed like she was all of Front of house so can understand not getting any refills on coffee.
A great little diner, the food came quick, was delicious and the waitress was awesome!Food: 5/5
If you want to have the typical small town affair this is it. Nothing fancy. French toast made with regular white bread, Western Omelet they use Sliced American with not canned peppers, and home fries made of yesterday's potatoes. Not bad but nothing unique. The service is great and the staff are very pleasant.
Great atmosphere and very good food !
Great food. Amazing service. Great prices. : Edit: been some time since I've gone. Still a good place but no longer my favorite.
Our camping group goes there for lunch every year on Derby Day. Some of us go particularly for the breaded and deep-fried bullheads. The meal comes with a cup of chowder, fries and coleslaw. First let’s talk quantity. You get 3 nice sized fish, ample fries, and, unlike so many restaurants, a nice portion of coleslaw. Now the quality: the breading perfectly seasoned and not overly salty. The fish is fried to perfection; crisp on the outside and moist and delicious inside. The fries are also nicely crispy. The coleslaw with its small shred is a wonderful counterpoint to the fried food. The NE clam chowder was likewise delicious. Those who had something besides the bullheads liked their meals as well. This restaurant is a lovely little secret in Wolcott.
Large menu selection. We had a burger and grilled cheese. Both were very good. Service was excellent. Parking: Plenty of parking
