"Mike and Amy Wade both grew up in Arlington and were married at First Methodist Church in Arlington. In 1983, Mike and Amy Wade purchased a funeral home in Hubbard, Texas. There they happily made their home for 20 years with their two daughters, Lauren and Keely and son, Blake.In 2003, the family built and started Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington. It would be and still is Arlington’s only family-owned funeral home. Coming home to serve the people of Arlington and surrounding areas has been a very exciting time for the family. I visited for a viewing one evening and a funeral service another morning for the same person. The viewing room and the room for the funeral are nice and spacious. Plenty of seating and the staff is very friendly. Lots of parking in the front and back. It's a family-owned business. As we were waiting in the car to line up for the procession, I saw one of the family members taking the large framed portrait of the deceased to a car and one of the Wade employees ran out with the box to place the frame in it. It was a thoughtful act that showed a lot of care for the grieving family.
My family worked directly with Mike Wade to make arrangements for the burial of my mother in June of 2022. I had never been part of funeral planning so this was a very anxious and emotional moment while learning the process. Mike took the time to educate me and my family on the options available as well as the costs. He was very kind and compassionate during the entire planning process. We requested a quick burial three days from when we met with him. He and his team were able to accommodate. We ended up with a beautiful service, stunning flowers. All first class and the family really appreciated all the effort in such a short time.
I would recomend this funeral home when the time comes. The courtesy and respect that was shown to my family is exceptionable. Blake and his father are 2 of the greatest people I have ever met. They know how to console at a most difficult time and unlike some funeral homes did not try to gouge me with pricing. They will be the ones I will use when my time comes. They gave my wife the honor she deserved.
We are so grateful for Wade Funeral Home and their help navigating everything with the recent loss of my father. It was an unexpected loss and we were completely unprepared but Blake and Lauren and the whole team helped us through the entire process. The team was very accessible and there was great communication every step of the way.
My first experiences with the Wade Funeral Home was excellent they were a referral from a family friend that had used them and they had a good experience and I had a good experience so I recommended them to my fiance for the burial of his father because I had had such a previously great experience but this time around I don't know what has happened they're obviously has been some kind of company restructure which I believe would could be very detrimental to their business we dealt with Natalie McClure and when we came in she was very cold and not very inviting she even left to go get a paper for us and left us sitting there for 30 minutes and we were told that she was going to be our point of contact from now on so his father was transported from the morgue to the funeral home nobody even contacted us to let us know that it had occurred then when we called we found out they were waiting for a permit which in our informational meeting we were told that they were going to get it the same day so when we went back up there to make a full payment our point of contact didn't even come out and speak to us and then we asked could we see the body to say goodbye and we were told that he was in the process of cremation nobody even contacted us and told us that and so we've been waiting on a call back so that we can plan for the funeral you know nobody has been communicative about what is going on and I feel like that is bad business especially when you are honoring your family members Memorial I saw Mike Wade when I was there when we were making a payment he seemed very warm and friendly but if I would have known it would have been like this I would have addressed my concerns to him then but wait funeral home is not the same how can you have somebody's family members remains and not even communicate or return their phone calls I I hope they go back to the way that they used to be I feel very bad that I recommended them for my boyfriend my fiance to say his last goodbyes and this is how he's been treated
I've dealt with funeral home in the past, but the Wade Family and team made my family feel like their family. So kind, gracious, caring, and compassionate. Everyone there went above and beyond the call. I'm so grateful to have found them. We will always use them from now on. Thank you for being so compassionate during one of the hardest times in our lives. Your team is amazing. Blessings!
The Wade family did a remarkable job on my father’s service. They were professional, caring and empathetic to our needs; during our greatest time of need. Blake provided helpful suggestions and he went out of his way along with the rest of the staff to help us. They exceeded our expectations at every turn. In addition to the excellent service, their price was the best of every one we researched. I highly recommend the Wade family.

My father died unexpectedly. I live over 12 hours away, and I was the only person who could legally make decisions. At 20, it was not something I expected I needed to know. I was overwhelmed by grief and felt bombarded by my father's physician and the police who notified me. The funeral director made me feel supported, calm, and helped me through every step of the process. He was soothing, he was kind, and the staff repeatedly checked in and offered their services. Even if I didn't need it, it felt so good knowing that there was someone out there who remembered that my grief doesn't disappear once I receive his cremated remains.
