We moved in almost a year ago. The day we got our keys we were moving in. We opened the door and it smelled like straight wet dog and there was hair everywhere. We called and within 2 hours they were able to replace the carpet and the day after they had a professional cleaner come in and clean free of charge. The manager did an amazing job. Sadly this should’ve been handled before we got the keys in the first place. A couple of months later we were cooking in the kitchen and the burners from the previous owners were stained and the fire alarms kept going off so we called and the next day they were there to replace them. They are very good at on the spot maintenance but things should be done in advance. I wish they would upgrade a few things like the sink and dish washer. But you can only ask for so much. We have enjoyed living here and continue to live here.
I have stayed here for a few years, and I've never had an issue. I even pay my rent ahead of time when I have the funds because I believe in having a solid living space, if nothing else. Because of this, I am frustrated to have had my rent raised after a disagreement with a front desk associate about my concerns over a maintenance request. I remodeled homes for years growing up with family, so for the obese woman near the front desk to condescend to me after 1 I was not interacting with her, 2 knew she was incorrect due to prior experience, and 3 specifically requested that a maintenance person have a look at the issue with my speculation in mind was immensely disappointing. If you choose to rent here, try to do as little business with the obese woman who lurks nearby awaiting an opportunity to interject her "perspective." I understand good help is hard to find, but I have scrolled the reviews for an hour to witness many others having similar complaints, and I would not be surprised if the obese woman was at the center. It does not matter how polite or respectful you are. The obese woman, and this property management team are petty, condescending, and unprofessional. I would add manipulative, as well, considering how many reviewers have been in dubious circumstances with this business. I only wanted the accommodations that I pay hundreds of dollars for to be livable, and I hate that this property would rather their tenants live in depreciating conditions than see to their reasonable requests. They are fully aware that people need places to live in this small area, so they rely on passive aggressive tactics to "humble" tenants who require more than less than the bare minimum. I caution all future tenants without reliable income to seek living spaces elsewhere. The comments under the low reviews are not hyperbole; you should believe them.
I was a tenant of Wainright for a few years. My first apartment was with Wainright, had some places deny me because of my credit but Wainright gave me a chance! Never had any problems, when we had some repairs that needed to be done they were handled in a timely manner, and the owner himself even came out one day when I had an issue with the heating/gas, and the staff at the office was always respectful and understanding. I received a level of service that is uncommon these days, so if you’re new to the area or just looking to move I highly recommend!
The absolute worst people to rent through. Won’t fix your ac at night tells you to basically deal with it. I’ve had a rat in my home the day i moved in they still haven’t done anything about it. Put double deposit down 2 months prior to moving in and things were still broke. Cabinets weren’t painted. Had the paint guy in my house for a week. Have had them come out to fix my bottom toilet 5 times and it’s still broke. Just don’t go through these people!!!
I've lived at my current apartment for 8 years now with Wainright and I can say without a doubt that the Wainright Greenville crew are some of the best I've had the pleasure of dealing with in property management - any maintenance issue I've had was dealt with promptly shoutout to the emergency line they have and the maintenance have always been so nice and professional as well! Sandra and her crew are truly world class in customer service and the apartments are wonderfully clean and thankfully bug free thanks to whatever pest control company they partner with, spacious, and peaceful - their rates have always been fair as well and they've been handling the inflation rates very well too and not price gouging like some properties I've seen. The front desk and property manager are wonderful to work with as well and more than willing to help you with any issues if you just talk to them.
The property manager/owner himself could not have been any nicer and was very helpful. Providing assistance to help solve any issues that arose during my application process, as well as his ultimate approval even though this was my very first time having rented and with minimal established credit, with dependants and as a single mother working 2 full time jobs as well. Was kind and understanding of my needs and circumstances at the time. Made sure that I was looking in the correct locations within what was available and in my price range, I was elated when this company became my first steps into gaining a sudden ..independence and a safe much needed home. They were fast with processing, fast with approval notice. The entire staff including the front desk was extremely friendly, helpful, patient, and on top of their job description. Did however have some issues getting maintenance crew to come when scheduled to or at all several times which lead to several issues that overtime, although being reminded and requested often, of their oversight whether intentional or not I'll never know, became worse unfortunately. But THEY were the only dissatisfaction. Otherwise I'm still very grateful for the way I was treated by Wainwright Property.
Wainright was my first option when moving to Greenville. They made the application process so easy and answered all of my questions. I have been here exactly a year now and the women in the office have always given me excellent and friendly service. Any maintenance request that I have put in has been answered in a timely manner and been fixed the first time. I have no issues with this group whatsoever! If you’re looking to rent in Greenville, give these guys a go! You won’t regret it.
We rented an apartment about 4 years ago. It was discounted as the carpet had not been replaced. Within a few months of moving in there was a roach issue. Never had the issue before. Called pest control . From there bedbugs. This was at Rosemont. Again, no issue til then. Pest folks confirmed roaches and bedbugs were a building-wide issue. Fast forward. Move, buy a home. Have to throw out bed not yet paid for and pay for treatment because previous home was infested. Upon moving in per exterminators and NOT PREVIOUSLY TREATED. AGAIN German cockroaches were rampant. We left our belongings outside for hours in May heat before packing. No roach issue in new home only bedbugs in one room costing a good amount of money from previous apartment managed by Wainwright.
Was approved first then Denied do to the breed of my pet so then l was willing to give up my dog was told to Me I Still Would Be Denied bc Its On My Application Now They Came Up With My Credit Report So Basically They Had To Find Something
very nasty over the phone. wouldn't even bother to do an application
