The pharmacy is very under-staffed. Expect to wait an hour or more even during off-hours. See attached photo for a Friday at 2pm. There is usually a long line, and the staff seem stressed from dealing with customers who are unhappy about waiting. I would recommend avoiding this pharmacy.
I have to say, it’s very disappointing to have to wait in line for over 30 minutes to pick up a prescription at 7:30pm on a Monday evening! And when there’s only 3 people ahead of me! Either hire someone that has respect for our time and moves faster than a snail or hire more help. I like this location but jeez! This isn’t the Walgreens service I’m used to at all. Dropped the ball!
I received an email confirming my photos were ready for pick up. When I arrived at the photo area I was ignored by the person working there for a few minutes. It looked like she was going out of her away to avoid acknowledging me. I finally asked if there was someone there to help me. She quickly snapped and said to return in 30 minutes and that she was busy and I wasn’t the only customer. I was shocked! I was literally the only person in line. I told her about my email and she literally said “ugh!” then threw the envelope of my photos on the counter and told me to pay at the main register. After I told her she was being rude and I wanted to speak to her manager she began raising her voice and saying she didn’t care if I complained. I have never met someone that hates their job so much and because of it takes it out on costumers. It seems like that’s the culture at this store and the managers and/or corporate don’t care to change it. This store deserves a zero rating. I will NEVER return to this store again!
Don't believe the photo of the posted hours. Do believe the photo of the line. There is always a line. I don't blame the pharmacy techs though. They have a difficult job here, but they are competent. As an alternative, check out Alto, they deliver for free.
Walgreens Menlo Park has the worst pharmacy customer service ever the pharmacy tech Lisa is super rude!!!! She seemed frustrated and unhappy so sad since it was only 8 am. I am a cash paying customer I do not have insurance currently she gave me such attitude when I questioned her about coupons online for this expensive prescription I am requesting sooo terrible and when I asked her why she worked there if she doesn’t like her job as she was soo unhappy she told me to sit and wait for my prescription I couldn’t wait too long since I had to get to work I went back an hour later only to find she had filled the prescription incorrectly she gave me a 30 day supply not a 60 as I had requested . she was so upset she didn’t even listen to my request but I feel that pharmacy techs and any customer service personnel should have some type of etiquette mind you this is not a young girl she is a older woman and she should act accordingly !!! I finally got my prescription filled but will not return to this Walgreens for my prescriptions.!!!!
Terrible customer service in their Photo dept. Merely surprised as I had come from the Walgreens on 300 Montgomery St in SF and they were wonderful - I just looked like a mess that day and so figured I’d redo. At the Menlo Walgreens photo, they treat you with no promptness I specifically dealt with Marilyn. When I asked if she was the one who worked at the photo counter, she snapped at me, she took 30 mins to develop the photo at the SF location, I walked out with my photos instantly. I mean, we’re just talking about a printer…The boss at Menlo who later redid my photos took 5 mins, Marilyn wouldn’t show you your photo for your examination unless you ask again, at the SF location, they pleasantly offered, so did the boss at Menlo. And at the end of all this, after waiting 30 mins, I luckily noticed that my final product would not have passed the passport requirements so I asked for a redo. The boss who redid the photos was much nicer. But all in all, if you’re looking to roll the dice on whether you’ll get basement-level customer service, just head on over to this photo dept.
wish I could leave 0 stars. Had the most difficult morning dealing with the Pharmacist who basically refused to fill my prescription. I had my pharmacy hotline calling her to fill the prescription she said was not sent in - but no answer on her end so he had to leave a voicemail. I called later to double check that she got and she said there was no voicemail. After a bit of back and forth due to my confusion she hung up on me so hard that I could hear the phone slamming. Also forgot to mention that I was on hold dealing with this for about 2 hours. I’m now having my prescription filled at a CVS instead. Don’t waste your time here, absolutely infuriating.
This is without a doubt the SLOWEST pharmacy I've ever been in. It never fails to amaze. There is only ever 1 person behind the window and it doesn't matter what time you get here--you're gonna wait for at least 40 minutes. The line stretches out to the back of the store, without fail. Awful.
Rude. Refused to check insurance for prescription coverage. Said it’s not their job. Patient has to call insurance on their own. Never going back. Charging extra for prescriptions.
Laughably slow service at the pharmacy. Waited in line for 30 minutes with less than 10 people ahead of me in line. Granted, it’s basically what this area deserves. Good luck finding somewhere to live around here. So I don’t really care.
