I love this place, a couple employees are kinda um.... Not very people oriented but for the most part if u can bypass that person, you will be very pleased... Mr ward is amazing and the. Assistants of the vet rock as well .. thanks y'all...
Our first visit to Ward Animal Hospital was a good one. Made us feel at home and took care of our babies like their own.
Went to take my dog to get his annual yesterday. We have used Ward Animal Hospital a couple times in the past and have been happy with the service and cost. But the following are things that I wasn’t happy about from our last visit: - We had a 9:30am appointment which we were not able to be seen until after 10am. - The price for my dogs annual is significantly more expensive compared to the last time. - We used to use Chewy to purchase medical supplies for our dog, but now we are hamstrung to use their online pharmacy because of service fees to continue with chewy. These things are going to make us reconsider seeing a different vet.
Staff and doctor were very helpful and friendly. Thank you all, and I'm happy to bring my emotional support kitty back here for any of her medical needs. I definitely recommend this office.
Dr. Mike Ward saved our dog's life a couple of weeks back. Best Animal Hospital in East Texas in my opinion.
....my puppy had surgery & I left him his toy & blanket that smelled like his mom, I think the staff forgot about it & didn't ease babie's anxiety; he spent the nite @ hospital too.... so.... I wish staff listen better & consider the babies' feelings. Ty
We had an emergency with one of our dogs and they were fast in getting her in be cause she has an upper respiratory infection. They took great care of her.
No experiencia at all. Filled out their website form on Thurs. 09/28/2023 listing my hoses injuries and submitted them, with their site saying that depending on time submitted it might be 1-2 days untill i receive a call with appt. date and time. Im writing this on Tuesday at 10pm 10/02/2023 and have yet to receive a phone call.
Had a kitten spayed and rabies shot. On dropping her off for surgery I was asked by the tech if I wanted anything else and I said no, thinking that she was talking about blood work. Picked her up the following day and brought her home. Now she is unable to meow, having difficulty swallowing and wheezing. Called back and talked to the lady at the front desk and she said it was probably from the trach tube. She the asked if I wanted to pick up some pain medicine. I then asked if it was liquid or tablet form. After further discussion I was too find out the kitten was given NO pain medicine before or after surgery! I was told that I checked on the paper no pain medicine. I wasn't told that they didn't give anything for pain, every other animal that has had surgery was always given pain medicine before surgery, then you have the option of bringing some home to give the day after if you so desire. This should be explained to the owner in full before ever asking you to sign papers, not just tell you to sign papers. This would have never happened when Dr. Ward owned this animal hospital. I had not been there since Dr. Ward sold his practice to Dr. Grant, needless to say that I will not be going back. If you so desire to use this practice make sure you question, question, question about what will be done before signing any paperwork because they don't explain anything, just say sign the paper
Beware this place will attempt to overcharge you. The vet wants me to manage arthritis in my pets leg because he refuses to do a surgery but also could not explain how to manage arthritis. If my dog is yelling out in pain clearly something needs to be done not just "manage her pain".Total time I seen an actual vet maybe 3 minutes at most. I was charged almost 60$ for an exam yet an exam was not performed. I would not recommend this place.
