Such an amazing place to walk around and have a nice evening stroll. Lots of benches to sit down and take a moment to relax. Beautiful fountains including the famous Pineapple fountain down here! The boardwalk is right next to the water and leads all the way to the water taxi pickup. The grove of trees is like walking through a green tunnel, especially gorgeous close to sunset with the suns rays penetrating the leaves.
Super cool cool park. We felt like we were in a Jane Austin book taking a turn around the gardens. It was incredible beautiful and well cared for. We wish we had more time to just come and chill. This is a must got for a quiet place to rest. It’s very peaceful. Now should be mentioned it’s not a park for kids to run or dogs to be walked etc. even a sign that says no running. It’s a tranquil park. Which is what brings some of it awesomeness.
This park is a great place to take a break from the touring and activity of the city proper. There was a lovely breeze and shade so it was refreshing. It is a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy watching the sailboats in the harbor or the kids playing in the fountains.
This park is set along the ocean and calls you to remember the history of the area as you walk along its paths. Flowers & Majestic Trees line the walking routes that eventually guide you to the the famous Pineapple fountain and the pier. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. A relaxing way to spend a few hours or all day.
A staple must do on your Charleston visit! Enjoy the park with trails under oaks or along the marsh, benches, swings on the dock leading to the marsh, a dock by the Tug Boats, and of course infamous Pineapple Fountain. One of the best views of the Charleston area bay and especially for sunrise! You can find me here occasionally doing my morning rucks or on the docks enjoying the sea! We hope you enjoy our beautiful city of Charleston! - The Pirate Hunter
AWESOOOOME! SUCH a gorgeous place to walk around and have a nice evening stroll. Beautiful fountains down here! And the boardwalk right next to the water…and the grove of trees is like walking through a tunnel. So beautiful, such a nice little pretty spot. If I lived in Charleston, I’d be down here every week! A MUST VISIT if you ever find yourself in historic Charleston!
June 19, 2022 This was rates as one of the place to go to when you visit South Carolina. Very close to Rainbow Raw houses, can walk to here or drive side parking only. It’s literally a PINEAPPLE FOUNTAIN. There are kids playing and swimming into the fountain, that was unexpected. Hard to take a picture of the fountain by itself. There are lots of sitting area and can watch the boats passing by. Pet friendly.
I love this park, it's beautiful, green, has lots of birds and squirrels out and about. Plenty of benches to sit. Some spots afe shaded under some nice trees. It looks like it's good to have little parties, someone had a baby shower outside the day we visited here. It's a great place for photos, there are little plaques and statues that tell some history of the place , I'm not interested in US history but it was still cool. There is also an art gallery nearby which was very nice as well . And it's near the waters edge that leads to a dock nearby where you can see a warship of somekind . If you want you can take a ferry tour around the harbor and they said you have a possibility of seeing dolphins. All in all it's a great place to go.
A nice historic parking with many shady trees and park benches for you to rest and drink your fresh lemonade. Near the water which gives you a nice comfortable breeze. Don't forget to see the iconic Pineapple Water Fountain. Also the beautiful home along the side of the park.
This is a Must visit in Charleston and is a short walk from the famous city market. The park has a couple of fountains, plenty of open space and grass. There are swings at the boardwalk, and this time we encountered bird display, saw a cruise ship set out for sail, and also dolphins swimming closer to the port. We had a lovely memorable experience. Highly recommend!
