Haven't flown out of Waukesha, but have visited the park & watch a ton with my toddler. There's a parking lot and fenced in area with a picnic table overlooking the airfield for amateur spectators like myself. My 3 year old loves any type of transportation so getting relatively close access is a special treat. We try and come out to catch as much activity as we can on warm nights during the year.
Absolutely love how these photos turned out. Reminded me of the sun rising but it was the moon rising and I'm grateful to have been here at the right time for it to come over the Horizons. Instead of it being the Sunrises, I love that I got to see the eclipse of the moonlight too.
I went to Stein's for flight training specifically because one of the aircraft was an RV-12, which is very similar to my aircraft. Roger Kiefer has been a very good instructor for me, training me in the RV-12.

Flew into Waukesha for the WI Passport Stamp on a Saturday and from talking to Tower and the customer service experience from the FBO, this airport is hands down a perfect place to fly into. The FBO is operated by Atlantic Aviation and very clear. They also have a little museum in the FBO that makes it a nice touch.
Nice big runways, ideal for GA aircraft looking for a place to stop for fuel with professional linemen! Also, they have an amazing pilots lounge that includes a little side room with a bed inside for pilots who need a quiet place to sleep and regain energy!!!!
Really amazing small airport, excellent and clean restrooms and lots of little amenities. They had a small beverage service and did provide shuttles to the different hangars. The service was terrific, all of the rental car details were handled with precision, and overall a nice visit. Highly recommend.
I was at Atlantic Aviation. Everyone was very nice. The facility is great.
Food truck Friday. Could use a few more umbrellas for shade. Clean grounds. 2 food trucks .
The building has a sleek modern design. Clean and smells great. Everyone was extremely nice as well!
