Looking to have your kid part of the national argument over social issues and possibly front page of the news paper for it? You found your school district! Want to know what your kids are doing today? Look no further than the national media who will be reporting on this failing school district constantly due to the boards obsession with hurting its district. With zero support for teachers and students this school board will put their personal priorities first. This place is being ran like a circus at the expense of the students. Very sad and pathetic.
My sons received the Scholar/ Athlete Award in High School. They lettered in Baseball and maintained a B+ average. Both were prepared well for baseball and academics in college.
Parents and school board are hateful bigots. Dept of Ed should pull all Federal funding from this pathetic excuse for a school district. Typucal hateful Republican communuty. Stay away.
Both of my daughters attended Waukesha public schools and received an excellent education. Great teachers.
i'd give it 5 stars if i was rating how well this school district traumatized me
They banned a beautiful song about rainbows that the kids really liked because its lyrics "could be deemed controversial". "Wouldn't it be nice to live in paradise, where we're free to be exactly who we are?" It's sad, "all the hurt and the hate going on here".
Expects kindergartners to work 40 hour jobs before eating. 0/10. Would choose illiteracy over this place.
Shame on you for vetoing Rainbowland and sidelining a teacher for speaking the truth of your closed minds. It doesn't sound to me like you are a school district as much as a factory for closed minds.
When Dolly Parton singing about acceptance and loving your neighbor is controversial, maybe you shouldn't be a superintendent or board member anymore.
Rainbows. With all the pain, fear and trouble our young people are dealing with in our schools, you focus on rainbows. That's a very responsible way to use your time as a school board member.
