Amazing experience! We loved the mermaid Christmas show. Doors open 30 minutes before show start. We got in line early to get front row seats. After the show we got a photo with the mermaid and walked around. The water is clean and in the 70s. Today was a beautiful day and wished we brought our bathing suits and towels to hang. Many of the shops were closed. Will come back for sure!
First… get there early to get in line. An excellent location for fresh water swimming and a place to relax.
Absolutely loved it! From the mermaids, the Christmas decorations with lights strung throughout the trails, happy staff faces- It was a nice place to go!
I tried unsuccessfully to get the menu for the parks concessions prior to going. It was no where to be found, the park couldn't even tell me. So I am posting it for anyone who may need it. The only vegan items were a salad that they were out of and pita chips and hummus, which they were also out of. Food took forever, it appeared that the restaurant is just not big enough to handle the lunch crowd. Everyone was working hard, just too many people for too small of a place. As for the rest of the park, be aware that each of the attractions has limited times. The boat only runs until 12:30. The line was such that the last boat was filled by 11:00 and those waiting had to wait for an hour and a half to ride the 20 minute ride. The mermaid show has a long line and it fills up as well. Getting there at least 30 minutes before the show is a must. The animal show also gets pretty full and only had 3 shows a day. For as limited of things to do here, it is very difficult to get them all in because of their schedule and the wait times.
Very enjoyable few hours at this park. Mermaids show was lovely. The river cruise was very nice. We even saw two manatees. Staff accomodated a guest using two canes. Very friendly and great people.
Awesome experience! We didn't see any manatees because we were told they were not in season at the moment but there were tons of fish ,birds & turtles will be back again in the future sometime!
Very fun afternoon enjoying a classic old school Americana experience that's been in operation for 75 years. Nicely maintained facility and fun for the whole family. Recommended without reservation.
Very disappointing experience… the website stated: “Effective Dec. 20, 2022: Mermaid shows are offered at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.” We arrived at 2, however, the shows were actually at 11 and 1:30 on December 27. They ran a training session at 3- so at least we had a glimpse of the real show. I recommend calling ahead since their website updates are apparently incorrect.
Absolutely beautiful, clear blue waters that will leave you in awe of the natural beauty of Florida. Kayaking in the springs is definitely a dream come true; lots of fish and wildlife to appreciate. We didn't see any manatees but I know they come out sometimes, which would have been great! I definitely recommend a trip to Weeki Wachee Spring to anyone who loves the outdoors.
August 21, 2022 Sunday Our first time at this place. We got there by 12:25pm almost 2 hours drive Gratefully we found parking eventhough it was far from entrance. $13 per adult and $8 per kids. The place is BEAUTIFUL. If is your first time visiting a spring, you should know that water is really COLD! lol There was a lot of people but not that bad. $9 tube rental per person for a ridiculous short ride. Mermaid show started at 3pm and by 3:13pm they stopped the show and said there was a thunderstorm so they shut down the entire park and everyone had to go out. Checking on weather since Saturday and showed thunderstorm after 6pm on Sunday. Sunday, 4:30pm no rain, no thunderstorm So if you are planning to visit this place keep in mind that. If there's rain or thunderstorm, they will close the park and everyone has to go out no matter how much you paid for entrance. At least my daughters have fun for those 2 1/2 hours but I might check on another spring for next time.
