I drove 20 minutes to go to the Whole Foods in Knoxville I’m pretty bummed I asked about their hot bar being completely empty and got shrugged off. I spoke with a manager or team lead and got nowhere however she was sympathetic to the situation but I was told there was basically nothing she could do. I would say 6 o’clock is about the time that a lot of people come in after work wanting food wait a horrible time to be empty. Looks like this is not the first time either. Customer service is a dying thing these days I guess. It’s sad that businesses don’t care anymore. It’s sad that Waffle House has better hospitality than Whole Foods. Also I do want to mention that the bathroom looks like a bus stop bathroom he would see in the 80s just kind of atrocious and a little dingy.
Got some cheese spread it was molded. Best Buy date was good. Food on the hot bar may be healthy but it has no taste for such a high price. My cherries were not sweet. But Walmarts were. I expect more from Whole Foods.
I go to Whole Foods for their hot bar more than for grocery shopping. This particular location has a very large and well stocked hot bar, but I am bummed they no longer offer breakfast. Out of all the grocery stores in Knoxville, I feel that they always have the freshest fruit and vegetables, so I often find myself on a shopping spree before I even get to the hot bar! This location also has a great deal of indoor and outdoor seating, Amazon return counter, self checkouts, and two electric vehicle chargers.
Really like shopping here. Always a pleasant experience, and some decent sales. And the pizza is quite good. Minus one star because they had what my husband claims were incredible chicken cordon bleus to cook at home from the meat counter and then they discontinued it soon after he discovered them. Please bring them back he is sad!!
I love the store and staff, it's nicknamed Whole Paycheck for a reason though, that's the ONLY "issue" I have, the prices are typically high, really high, on almost everything. That having been said; They have things I can only get there or online and I do enjoy the farmers market feel. It's a wholesome place and the energy is great, you feel like you could linger for hours! Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Whole Foods for existing.
Update 7/10/23: Nathan was absolutely the best, so helpful. Excellent customer service. He went above and beyond. He's in bakery dept and was so extra helpful. 6/2023: crazy range of employees in terms of customer service. The deli young girl was horribly slow. I mean her hands moved so slow and she never looked up or acknowledged me or other customers. She was focused on making one sandwich and I guess that was too much for her attention span. I stood there wanting deli items that were on sale. Nope. Couldn't wait any longer so I walked off. However the cashiers young male and young female cashier in next lane apologized for the deli girl and that they knew exactly who I was talking about bc yes, they know she's bizarrely SLOW. I was glad they said so to validate my annoyance. I can't believe how efficient, nice, and awesome the cashiers were. I love all WF locations but really, the deli and stocking employees could be nicer and less dismissive.
Beautiful organic produce! Also love their beauty aisle. Deli and bakery have vegan foods. Hugh slices of pizza
This is one of the best whole foods that I have seen as far as selection, size, price, and service. Everyone is friendly and capable. It is quite well organized and extremely clean. The pizza was delicious. There is a vast salad bar that’s kept up nicely. Not a bad thing to say about this whole foods location. It is superior to all of the Whole Foods stores in New Orleans.
Awesome store. I haven't been getting out much, so it was a real treat and adventure walking through the store today. They have such beautiful roses for unbelievable prices for Valentine's day. Just purchased roses for Mother's Day. They are beautiful. I bought more roses for Mother's Day and Birthday.
Great place to shop. But re: the buffet. Pizza is horrible from noon to 3 pm. Falafel is cold and why is it in the salad part of a buffet, so dry and almost dusty. Surprisingly, the fish is dry but tasty. Pretty good for pre cooked fish. I just recommend getting a salad to put you over to a real meal. Their kale marinated salad is amazing. Fresh veg. I wouldn't even go for rice, it's dry and crusty. I want to go back but I can make a salad myself. FYI - whole foods will say below this that you can reach out for help but the link doesn't work and they don't care. Just get your veg here and maybe soap? I dunno. People should go to Fresh Market in Bearden. Better lunch. Better single item options.
