We had fun camping. We were here beginning of October but had great weather - 70’s every day. Bathrooms were very clean. Showers available and reasonable - $2 for 12 minutes. Office has ice and same price as the gas station in town. Train tracks run right behind the park and blows the whistle - luckily it only went by at 5am once while we were there. Duck hunters were out and there engines are Extremely loud 4 am one morning. Fishing was awesome. Got to see barges go by multiple times a day/night they are quiet lol and even got to see a cruise boat.
It’s a great park with lots of access to the river either for swimming or boating.
Nice campground and public beach with shelters along the main channel of the Mississippi.
Been coming here since I was a kid! I used to ride my bike here in the summer from Hokah and go swimming all day long. Camping is fun as well. My mom puts her camper there every summer for a week or two. Great safe place for kids as well. Nice community feel and lots to keep busy.
A lovely informal campgound right along the main channel of the Mississippi River. Don't expect fancy but expect a nice place to pitch a tent or park your camper and watch the river. Good boat dock also.
Our spot was very spacious. Staff was friendly. No sewer hook ups but there was a guy for $10.00 that will dump you if you don't want to hook up and go to the dump station yourself. That was super convenient. We will be back!
Worst launch on the river. High current and wakes, and rocks. Do not launch here. After helping a struggling boater pull out I turned around and went to 7th St landing. Donated my 5 bucks for the lesson. This. Launch. Sucks.
Wildcat is a great place to spend an afternoon. On the banks of the Mississippi. There are plenty of picnic shelters, shade trees, and grilling pits. Camping is available but sights are right on top of each other in a field setting. It is a family friendly affair, if that is what you're looking for.
Awesome scenery from the boat
Nice campground but they charge you to use their boat landing.
