Small but nice paved parkway. Allot of people walking their dogs. Stream that runs through the park. Dog-friendliness: They offer doggy waste bags and garbage cans.
In short, the area here is not a park. It is not grand in scale by any means. In fact, the lone walking path may total a half-mile, if that. There is one small open area for other activities, such as yoga or frisbee, for example. I can't imagine much luck trying to do anything else. Despite these shortcomings, there is something peaceful here that some may find reason to visit. Located almost immediately off of 340, it's so close to a busy road yet everything is still and silent. And no one is ever here. You have the entire area to one's self at most times. If you want seclusion like this, you should visit. There is a small creek and wooded area where the path dead ends, as well. As mentioned, the entrance is very abrupt and easily able to be missed on the left side of the road, if driving from 340--perhaps 0.1-0.2 of a mile. A large parking lot for an area of this size exists, with trash cans and pet clean-up bags also.
It's not a park in the sense that it has a playground and all that, but it's a quiet little location to walk around in and listen to the birds and watch the butterflies. It's nice to have a low traffic area somewhere close to home to stretch your legs and get some sunshine.
This park is only to walk your dog and it’s not really a park. There is a bridge to nowhere across Evitt’s Run. It would be nice if they grew corn and pumpkins on the property and in the fall had hay rides, corn maze pumpkin picking and entertainment for children, in this area there’s nothing to do for kids. The money could go for new side walks in Charles Town. Church, Mildred, Samuel, George Streets There’s so much potential in this area that’s wasted. However they make hay from this “park” two times a year.
very nice ~1 mile there and back trail, grass is well-kept, but trail goes nowhere? also no benches along route
Nice quiet place to take your puppies or your girlfriend also there is great trout fishing in the creek back there.. Playground: Plenty of ground for the kids to play on. Restrooms: There are only seasonal porta potties. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of acres for the boys to run on. Picnic area: Nice and open.
Nice paved, handicap accessible, trail with wide open spaces for excercise.
Very neat and extremely clean.
I live very close, so I go here often
Nice little park.
