Scheduled to stay here. Called 3 times to check on late arrival. No one answered or responded to my messages. Left me searching for another park at 8 pm. Luckily, I was able to find somewhere. The whole area really looked unsafe.
Trailers are very close and power is always going out but the worst thing is the stealing. No cameras, no security and staff says there's nothing they can do about it very rude. Our neighbors trailer was broken into so he called cops and the manager was very upset that he called the cops because he said he didn't want the stealing problem to be publicized. No a/c in laundry room. We was told we could receive packages and mail at office but they returned all our mail and packages to sender. We had to buy a weed eater to cut grass around our camper. Very terrible place to stay.
I've been here for five months and it has been a great place to stay. It has plenty of trees but could always use more. Clean, quiet and gated..
Who doesn't like crappy wifi, a pool that's never filled, and living behind a gas station where the loudest vehicles in Carlsbad go? I gave it 3 instead of 2 stars because it's actually a pretty nice park considering the part of town you're in. Trees and seclusion go a long way in this business
Bad location. People would go into rv yards and steel things ie. Propane tanks and things not chained down. The couple running the place are nice people but constantly threaten to kick tenants out if they don't do things exact. I understand kicking people out for not following the rules but they would tape letters on every door and in that letter it would say do this or else type of thing. Made for uncomfortable living. The rv park is clean and well kept. There is grass in most of the rv spaces. There is a laundry facility on site and it is a gated community. It is a nice friendly community trees in most spaces also. The sits are on a asphalt slab wich makes it easier for leveling the rv. There is electric, sewer, and WiFi. If u don't want to use their WiFi, you can always call TDS and they will go to ur rv and install for u.
The Carlsbad rv park owns this park too.. but they have alot more amenities there. This place isn't the worst but the wifi will not connect.. even though it shows they have it and it has service. They do have cable which is my saving grace because my hotspot doesnt work no service out here. If they would fill the pool up I would be so happy but people say it hasnt had water in it for 5 years. If I had a chance to stay at carlsbad rv I would, they seem like great people it's just the windmill is a little more run down. Noisy at night also.
I don't even want to give the horrible place one star. We were there for 4 months. I have never dealt with anyone as rude, hateful and as disrespectful in my life. Way overpriced. Did not take care of the grounds, they even locked laundry mat with our clothes in dryer. Had to have the police call them
We moved to Carlsbad, NM on March 1, 2018 and moved into Windmill RV Park. The trailers are close together, but it seems all the RV parks in this town are like that. The office staff is very friendly and so are our neighbors. They seem to look out for each other. There is a laundry house with a games room with tables and chairs, seating area, and TV. This area and the laundry room are clean and well kept. The showers here at Windmill are being renovated and have been for 4 years so we have to go to the sister park, Carlsbad RV Park about 1 mile down the road and use their shower house. There is also a dog run; the pool is empty and has been for 4 years.There are a lot of long-term residents here. The internet here works well. There is also cable tv here.
Quite,safe gated community with plenty of shade trees and to top it off you can still use the indoor pool at Carlsbad rv park for $200 a month less.clean bathrooms and showers very happy we made the move.
Called and spoke with a woman who was outlandishly rude. She informed me that they do not prorate, even if you stay for 3 weeks you still need to pay for a month. Monthly rate is $600 which is rather high.
