Rexburg Library Bookstore

Description

The Wishing Well Bookstore is located inside the Madison Library in Rexburg, Idaho. It operates 100% through the efforts of our Bookstore Coordinator Gay Lee Macki, volunteers, and from YOUR donations of used books to the bookstore. It is one of the main funding sources of the Madison Library Foundation. The bookstore also brings the bookmobile out to local events - look for us at the Madison County Fair and Celebrate Youth! We could always use more happy, helping hands to staff the bookstore; if you are interested please fill out the form on the Volunteer page. The most important thing you can do to help is to DONATE your USED BOOKS!

Good place to study/read. Very close, walking distance, to BYU-I. I might suggest the designated quiet zone, children are not quiet. Also within walking distance of local grocery store, Broulims. They have a convenient book drop.
I am obsessed with this place! They have a great selection of books on home gardening, canning, etc, which is exactly what I needed!
I was in desperate need of printing some legal documents but did not have a library card. The older staff member refused to let me use a computer since I didn't have my driver's license with me. She offered no solutions and displayed zero empathy.
Amazing library. Nice atmosphere and they were always willing to get any book or even movie I requested. I did have a weird experience with them where I applied for an opening, they left me a voicemail for an interview, I called them right back and they denied the call despite me having the voicemail with the same voice and name as the person I was talking too.... but now that's just a silly anecdote I can tell people. Other than that one weirdness, this is probably my favorite library. It's a great place.
Yes! I love reading books, and this is a wonderful place to do so. It's nice and peaceful if you want to stay in and chill in a soft seat with a good book. They also have some pretty fair policies about rentals. I'm not the best on consistent reading, so it's nice that they give you plenty of time. I think it's 2 weeks for books and 1 for movies. They have a pretty great selection to. They had a whole series that I have wanted to read since I was a kid. It was so awesome to see that they had the whole set here!
Awesome library. We mainly used the kids section and went to the babies story time. They have loads of fun books and kits. The play area is perfect for babies and toddlers during Rexburg’s long winter. The story time is fun and you learn more about how to interact with your baby and teach them different songs.
I really enjoy this library! Super helpful and polite staff! A good selection of books. I do wish they stayed open a little later but that’s a small town for ya. Still enjoy this little library very much.
They have good sales on withdrawn books, and v friendly staff. One friendly girl helped me quickly sign up for a library card and reserve a couple dvds for a friend in need, even though we had to go a few minutes past closing. This library is what Rexburg is all about- small-town friendly people doing their best to help each other be happy and productive.
I have been here since this building was half it's size! It's not only grown, but I feel that the movie choices especially and young adult sections have been greatly expanded. I also love the kids section with the toys, computers, and books. Everything has improved! I would like to have a more clear-cut way to request new book additions somewhere in the physical library itself as there are some areas that I have found lacking when looking for a book. Overall, it provides a wide selection and is a very nice library.
I love the library. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. The building is clean, well kept and seasonally decorated. They have great family activities as well as many age related activities. What a fabulous community resource!
