Holistic Nursing
Is defined as “ all nursing that has healing the whole person as its goal” It is a specialty practice that draws on Nursing knowledge, theories , expertise and intuition to guide Nurses in becoming therapeutic partners with people in their care, recognizing the totality of the human being. Holistic Nurses may bring a complimentary and integrative focus to their work.

Purpose- Nonprofit association for Nurses and other Holistic Healthcare professionals that promote education of Holistic care and healing.
Chapters- Provide a supportive community that nurtures nurses and likeminded individuals as they work to maintain their own health , and guide others to health, they also support the vision, mission, purpose of the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA)
GOALS OF THE AHNA WESTERN NEW YORK CHAPTER
1. Learn to nurture the nurse in ourselves and others.
2. Continue to learn about holistic health and holistic nursing.
3 .Build a strong holistic nursing organization in WNY
4. Promote health promotion and wellness in our community.
