Basement eatery with decent Southeast Asian foods. Service was nice and the dishes came out extremely fast once we put in the order. Came around 2 pm on a weekend and there wasn’t much of a wait.Food: 4/5
If you are looking for an explosion of flavor then you must try Wok Wok. Every dish we tried was so authentic, delicious and left us wanting more. You can make reservations or just walk in. If you pay with cash you save 4%. While the restaurant is slightly hidden, You will see the sign from the street. Just take the steps down and enjoy. I suggest the Vietnamese coffee if you love a strong cup of coffee!!
Food was good. The flavour was good with spices and seasoning well done. The food gave my friend and I good memories that reminds us of childhood. Staff were super nice and accommodating People there were great and had a good atmosphere. Lighting was good Not entirely wheelchair accessible as there are stairs to the entrance of the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible from what I observed as there was stairs but no elevator.
I love eating curry dishes. Wok wok is famous for dry curry beef stew. I tried the red and yellow curry dishes today. The sauce isn’t rich enough to bring out the aroma. Overall it tastes good. I always feel a little bit of depression when I was at the restaurant. Maybe it is the lighting or decoration.Food: 5/5
Visited this store as my friend says they have good “chow mian” first we ordered the chicken curry and the beef curry with jasmine rice. “ Curry “ seems like signature dish they have. It came up in 3 mins I would say, it’s a premade dish so they just serve immediately as you order. The dish wasn’t hot, it was just warm. But definitely not looking fresh. “The chicken Potato curry” had a small hair as you can see in the picture. And they say they can change it for me. And then I ordered. “ chicken chow mian” It came in like 10 mins. It was super fresh and tasty. Then the milk tea we orders finally Came. We had iced Thai milk tea and iced leman black tea. The end of the meal, they ask they can make me an iced Thai tea to go. Well it wasn’t necessary. But it was nice of them. The employees was nice and kindly. It was quite busy. But NYC has more “chow mian” options. That you definitely have to try. This is not the one.
The char kuay teow is probably closest to the authentic KL Malaysia version. I've tried most Malaysian restaurants from NYC to Boston, this place is a level above the rest. The Milo is also made humbly as the kopitiams I grew up with. Good job.Food: 5/5
I almost miss the entrance to the restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. And I will come back to try more Southeast Asian food.Food: 5/5
Absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. It was made fresh and filled with flavor. I am glad I found this place so I can come back soon!
We came for the first time and there was only one other table being served at the time. We ordered several dishes such as the fried calamari, nasi lemak, roti telur and satay beef. First to come out was the calamari and it was very salty and next was the nasi lemak which was quite good. The roti and satay beef should of came out much earlier and the kitchen was already backed up, so the waitress gave us a pair of Thai ice teas for the wait. After waiting that long we were quite surprise when paying by credit will cost 4% extra on your bill so have cash on hand.
Wok Wok was a really great time and a great place to eat. Came here with a few friends. The place was very homey and warm on a cold winter day. The seats were very comfortable, a lot of wooden furnishings which I really enjoy. I appreciate the ease of making items vegan friendly so I ordered their Tom Yum soup which was very flavorful, with mushrooms and tofu and also ordered their spring rolls which were nice and crispy over a bed of rice. This place isn't too expensive and will leave you filled without breaking the bank. Definitely come and check this place out.
