Army ROTC is a competitive leadership development course dedicated to developing 2nd Lieutenants in the United States Army. The program trains students to become leaders who are tactically and technically proficient as well as adaptable. It gives you the tools, training, and experiences that will help you succeed in any competitive environment.
Along with great leadership training, Army ROTC can pay for your college tuition. Because Army ROTC is an elective, you can participate your freshman and sophomore years without any obligation to join the Army. You will be challenged by having to balance the college student experience with the responsibilities of a US Army cadet and you will be held to a higher standard. But, the reward is great. When you graduate, you will be commissioned as an Officer in the US Army.
"The mission of the Reserved Officer's Training Corps is to mold young Americans into leaders as commissioned officers. ROTC provides you with excellent leadership training and the foundation needed for future military or civilian success."
