The Women in Engineering Program (WEP) was established in 1991 to recruit, retain and graduate women in engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.

The Women in Engineering Program (WEP) connects students from first grade through graduate school to the creative and innovative field of engineering, showcasing how engineers make a world of difference. WEP helps students get connected, develop as engineering leaders and graduate with skills for life!

Mission

WEP's mission is to increase the overall percentage of women in engineering at UT Austin. WEP educates girls/women about engineering, inspires women to pursue the unlimited opportunities in engineering and empowers women engineers to benefit society.
