Woodcreek Pediatrics has served the Puyallup community continuously since 1979. Housed near the Puyallup Fairgrounds initially, the practice rapidly outgrew the original one doctor office and by 1984 had moved into the current Puyallup location.
As the community grew and more Pediatricians joined the practice, it became known as Woodcreek Pediatrics. By the 1990s the community was growing beyond the bounds of Puyallup to South Hill and Bonney Lake. To serve this expanding population, an additional office was opened on South Hill in 1997 and another in Bonney Lake in 1998.
In response to the busy lifestyles and the demands of family life which often mandated non-traditional office hours, Convenience Care, an urgent care clinic, was started in 2002. Open 7 days a week and until 9 pm on weeknights, it was set up to accommodate the urgent medical needs of not only children but their parents and adults in general. The original Convenience Care Clinic in Puyallup was rapidly outgrown and two years later a second Convenience Care Clinic was opened on the Sunrise Medical Campus.
Woodcreek's South Hill Pediatric Clinic also moved into a larger space on the Sunrise Medical Campus at the same time.
To further meet the needs of the Woodcreek patients, a Behavioral Health Counseling Department with a Child Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, a Crisis Counselor, and a Social Worker was started in 2002 and is located in the Puyallup office. An Allergy/Asthma Clinic was also started and is located in the Sunrise Pediatric Clinic.
Now known as Woodcreek Healthcare, reflecting the broader range of services offered, the goal continues to be serving the greater Puyallup community with conveniently located, innovative, and excellent pediatric healthcare, responsive to the changing needs of families.
