The primary mission of the University Honors Program is to produce a body of graduates who are well-educated, socially conscious, and capable of assuming leadership roles in society.
Moreover, the program seeks to provide a distinct interdisciplinary honors curriculum—one that is designed to enhance the undergraduate experience at the university through innovative
teaching, learning, service, and research. The University Honors Program cultivates students to become involved in the university and the community; to obtain prestigious scholarships, fellowships, and national and international awards; and to become successful graduates, ready to begin careers or gain entrance into graduate or professional schools.
