Great time had by all. Our son graduated and his graduation was at the XFINITY Center. It was spacious and the staff was kind. The bag checks were pretty thorough.
Love love love Xfinity Center. Great views even from the cheap seats and the crab nachos are surprisingly good. Very nice facility and great place to cheer on the Terps!
A nice arena. The views of the game were fantastic. The place it's easy to navigate. I liked the photos in the lobby honoring the notable alumni and coaches as well as a piece of court from the Cole Field House. However parking is a nightmare. Most of the parking is for members of the Terrapin Club or season ticket holders. Many other lots require a parking pass purchased in advance. I purchased the ticket less than an hour before tip off and parking passes were sold out, yet the arena was maybe 30% full. Wonder what would happen if the arena sold out? I ended up in a free lot behind Maryland Stadium, a good 20 minute walk after dark on an unfamiliar campus thank you Google Maps The website wouldn't download the ticket and I spent part of the game at fan service getting it uploaded slide me a paper ticket please Even as a Penn State fan I could easily give this place 5 stars if the parking was better. However until then 3 stars at best.
The woman's Terps game was wonderful. They won against Ohio. Met 5 of my friends I haven't seen in 3 years.
Had trouble using online tickets through UMd athletics, but called and got great seats. My team lost, but the facility was great. Concessions were expensive, but kinda expect that.
I was here for my daughter's graduation. After walking 10 mins just to get to the building I was turned back around because they wouldn't let me bring my purse in. On top of all that it took me an hour and a half to get out of the parking garage because it was one way in and on way out. They had 2 graduations on the same day. So when I was trying to leave people was coming in. It was very congested and frustrating. Other than that I was proud to see my daughter graduating.
Easy in/out, parking situation is good and can not beat the ticket price.
A great stadium of the University of Maryland. Its beautifully decorated and can host a large amount of people. Enough washrooms and facilities for everyone. It also has a hall of fame and other showcasing where they keep a track of all the stars of UMD.
I want to like this place more, but I cant recommend it. They would not allow us to bring in our coffees for a 9am event. Not sure if you noticed, Xfinity Center, but the majority of hard-working, red-blooded Americans fancy themselves the simple pleasure each morning of a tall, energizing, hot cup of black coffee. These jabronis had everyone toss their coffees unceremoniously in a bin at the security checkpoint. It's anti-humanist. It's inhumane. It's cruel and unusual. It's un-American. It's not like they even had coffee inside to purchase! To make matters worse, the temperature in the stadium was about 50 degrees outside was about 65 at best, maybe 70 in direct sunlight. Come on now. At least keep the temp reasonable, especially if you're going to revoke us of our coffees. Other than that, the bathrooms were nice but I would appreciate splash guards. The three stars are more a mark of my own generosity, rounding up from the 2.5 that I think it deserves for these cruel policies.
My son graduated from here, the venue didn't open the doors until almost the last minute. It was so hot outside that someone passed out. You had to park in a back parking lot and still walk to the building; As the crowds grew, they decided to let the hundreds of people who were already standing outside and had been on time into the building . It was disorganized and partly to blame is PGCPS as well. The parents had no itinerary as to what to expect . I even called the venue to try and get answers to know avail. It was a hot mess...literally!!
