We've come to expect cleanliness, friendly service, and good locations from Jellystone Parks. This park checks those boxes. You will hear the interstate noise day and night but it's not unbearable in a self contained unit. Can't imagine it though in a tent or fold down! There isn't much grass for walking the woofers so be prepared to walk a bit if you have a picky pooch. The sites are close together, but this type of campground is more about a destination and not so much about quiet and relaxing in solitude. The camp store is well stocked with simple items you may forget or suddenly need. The pool looked clean and refreshing. Staff was friendly and a pleasure to chat with. You can get the large campers into the full hookup sites pretty easy. I'm sure it's very busy during prime tourist season. The sunsets are great from the store area looking over the forest valley below! It's a 30 minute drive into downtown St Louis to the arch. Safety: Felt completely safe walking the campground day and night. Zero concerns. Walkability: If you're in shape, hoofing it up the hills isn't too bad and gets in a bit of cardio work, but they do offer golf carts for rent as well should you want some assistance moving about.
This was our first time camping at Jellystone and we will be coming back! This place is amazing. Our kids could run all over and the staff were so patient and accommodating. Annie the camp dog is the most precious animal sorry, Yogi. There were endless activities, a clean sparkling pool, mini-golf and other sports, boats games, a general store, just so much. We tent camped, but they also have cabins and cottages. Couldn't have asked for a better place. 20-30 minutes from downtown St. Louis. We want to try all the locations now.
Camp sites were clean but close together like most Jellystone parks. Staff were very helpful and even help you back into your site if you would like help. You will hear the highway near by all day and all night long And an occasional train. Not a big deal but something to be aware of. Possibly use ear plugs if sensitive to it for sleep. A few important notes: -Little grass around the park can make dogs annoyed -Campground is tight and could be crazy during peek season -The park is on a hill so you may have to rent a golf cart if you have difficulty walking up hills to the pool Nearby activities: The park has mini golf, shuffle board, a pool, and multiple kid 3-13 years? geared activities throughout the day Safety: Park speed limit is 5.5 Mph and it's in people's best interest to go that speed since the road is very narrow anyways. Food & drinks: They have a concession stand with basic foods Noteworthy details: A few important notes: -Little grass around the park can make dogs annoyed -Campground is tight and could be crazy during peek season -The park is on a hill so you may have to rent a golf cart if you have difficulty walking up hills to the pool
I had an amazing stay here at jelly stone park. I met the owner. He has a watchful eye over his camp like he should. He watched over the property where I was staying at, at his place. Just a tad bit weird yet helpful. He saw my daughter playing a little too close to his property with some lit pine wood. I’m glad he saw her. What a relief. Still cool tho. Like a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man kinda look out. The person I would like to rave about is David. He was quite kind. He made our stay here peaceful and he is so patient!! Thank you for your patience David. You’re really cool!! They were all wonderful and friendly the staff. It would be cool if they had some brown kids cut outs. Or at least bears and stuff. So when my children desire a picture, It’s something relatable to them. Other than That. The view was beautiful. We enjoyed our self. And we will definitely visit here again.
Campgrounds are extremely close together. The roads are extremely narrow and slightly nerve-wracking navigating them with a travel trailer. Pool was ice cold. "Train ride" was a waste. General store is over priced. It is convenient to a lot of attractions in the st louis area. Minimum grass if you are bringing dogs. My kids could not ride their bikes very much because of the big hills. The interstate is next to the campgrounds so not peaceful unless you are inside.
Do not recommend for families of more than 2. We were told that the cottage would fit 6 comfortably, thinking oh wow must be very spacious. We had 3 under three so that shouldn’t even be a big deal. We get there and it’s literally for 2 people the bunk beds are like in a closet with no airflow or ax service so get ready to suffer or if you want to torture your kids we had to sleep on the floor over night to just to get by until morning and we left ASAP and booked a hotel so much for being big enough to fit 6 people. False information was provided with the accommodation don’t even get me started on the bathrooms the shower head was missing the toilet was clogged it smell led of backed up plumbing it was hot I honestly do not recommend their cottages especially if they tell you that your family will fit. Don’t believe it. And they charged us for parking for additional guests even though they would leave that day!!!!!
I stayed here with my grandkids. We had a fantastic time The cabins could use an update to be more homey and comfortable. I was expecting a little more. Walls were bare and beds were uncomfortable. Maybe some color to liven up the cabins. The outside "Movie Theater " was a very small TV 24 inch? on the wall about 15 feet up on the front of the camp store. We could barely see the movie. It would be nice to get a good size screen on the wall to actually see the movie and enjoy it. Maybe offer popcorn to the kids? : Other than that, pretty good stay.
The cottage we are staying at is nice and cozy, and they have a few activities for the kids like a train ride, waking up yogi bear, a arcade, and activities for kids to do at different intervals throughout the day, they also have a general store you can buy a few things from, but if you need Walmart is down the road like 5 minutes away, the staff are super nice and friendly. all in all, I definitely would do this again.
We had a great time enjoying your facility. Mike and Chad the grounds keepers were beyond outstanding. Mike went above to help with anything that was ask of him by us are the grandkids. Thanks again to the staff that we encountered which was Mike,Emma,Chad. We could not of had a more pleasure able stay with how we were treated. Emma also went above and beyond withe the face painting of the grandkids. Also Chef Banana’s show was excellent. It was so gratifying to see how he had all the kids laughing and participating as well as the adults. Thank all again for a great experience.
One of the best entrances to an RV park, the staff was fantastic and extremely helpful, the prices were very fair and the non-stop family activities were consistent. We look forward to coming back. If you are thinking of visiting six flags, hiking, or just a family camp, this is the place.
