I do go to this gym, but mainly out of convince. The gym equipment is "new"... New when? The 1980s??? This is the same line i hear from them and most of their other locations. Bottom line those weights and thier machines all need to be replaced! Honestly seems like they barely care about this 24H. I have honestly overheard the employees saying it's better to go to the San Clemente location because they have better women and equipment. Let this just prove how this location really needs a over haul!
Staff always friendly, especially Dennis. Some of the equipment a bit dated, but I use the exercise bike frequently, and their bikes are in good shape. My major complaint is that the exercise bikes are parked right in front of the TVs. and faux Fox news plays every time I'm there. Worse yet, I have to listen to the commentators droll on about those terrible immigrants and how great Trump is. Please no political stuff while I ride!
No pool or jacuzzi but has most of equipment needed to get a good workout. Locker rooms need better cleaning and parking can be difficult as a new Duncan Donuts drive through may backup blocking parking access.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Main gym is clean, I don't use the locker rooms so I can't comment. Some equipment is old, but it all works fine
Love this gym I tried all 24's in south O.C. but I have to say this one is by far the most personable. I love when you walk in and they remember who you are and go out of their way to say hello. Micah is the one that stands out the most, I think he is the manager, seems as though he takes pride in his work as well as making guests count. Keep up the good work dude.
I don't have a true 'home' gym... I enjoy bouncing around the South OC because different gyms have different exercise equipment. However, I do find myself visiting this gym semi-frequently. It's really small. I love that it's so close to the 5 freeway off La Paz. In fact, on sunny days, you get a nice view of beautiful landscape, hills, and houses that make up Mission Viejo. However, I rarely workout during the day because of the crowd factor and I'm very fortunate to be in a position where I can go at night -when there's 1.... maybe at most 3 people. The night crew is way kick back and at all these gyms -you get to shoot the $h!+ and form genuine connection with them and the other locals. Good energy all around at this place.
I go to a 24 hour fitness everyday and i use different ones all the time throughout San Diego, Escondido, Orange County, and Hollywood. This location has the dirtiest locker rooms ive seen by far. They where actually so bad i just left. If you are in the area definitely go to the other one in laguna Niguel.
As with most 24 Hour Fitness locations, filth is king. I always marvel at the fact that i don't get more diseases using these facilities. What does not kill you makes you stronger i guess; so it might be on purpose. But even worst is the false sense of security: what is the point of the fingerprinting and phone number if no one is at the desk to check who comes in and out? My locker was broken into and i lost a ton of stuff, money, cc, id etc. and with my car keys and driver's license, they came to my driveway and stole my car the next day. I know 24h is not responsible for stolen items but they could at least pretend they care and help with the investigation; neither I or the police ever got the cctv tapes. i am pretty sure those cameras are just for show. And there are no cameras in the parking lot either; in fact, a couple years back, the 24h manager himself got his car broken into!!! Have a great workout!!!
One of the worst 24 hour fitness' I have ever been to. Most of all the weight machines are old! Free weights and weight machines in weight area look like they were picked up at a garage sale. Cardio machines stair masters & stationary bikes look like they belong on craigslist. Tried out a spinning class and the instructor was horrible. Unmotivating & did not engage the class by being the "instructor". Was to worried about her friend in class taking pictures of herself. Over all, I won't be going back to this location again.
Great gym and staff but it wigs me out that the female cleaning crew seems to have no problem cleaning the men's room when I'm in there. I wonder if the men clean the women's room the same way.
