Afhco Property Management is the property management division of the Afhco Group that was founded in 1996. Afhco Property Management was established in 1998 due to the shortage of credible managing agents in the industry, and was tasked with the challenge of effectively managing the investment properties of the Afhco Group, in order to maximize and sustain yields on investments and enhance their economic value – a portfolio currently worth approximately R1.5 billion.
Up until 2010, Afhco Property Management undertook property management services exclusively on behalf of the Afhco Group. A decision was taken by the board in 2010 to market the Company as managing agents to third party clients, because of the vast experience gained in the industry, together with the capacity and infrastructure at the Company’s disposal, and due to the lack of credible managing agents, particularly in the Johannesburg inner-city.
All property management specific activities are retained as an in-house function, whilst non-core activities, such as security, cleaning, and lift maintenance, are outsourced.
