Best service from ausi Lebo mara they gave me a Kwid yoh hai that car is not the one. It’s winter now the car is shaking
Booked a vehicle more than a month in advance only to arrive and be told, "sorry, we don't have any cars" No alternative arrangements! No phone call to warn me! Absolute shocking service
I returned the car on the 28th of December 2022 and I was told that the deposit payment will be returned to me in 7 days. During that period I received an invoice with extra charges on it and also a price change on the car I rented. The price moved from R2.9k to R3.1k plus additional other charges that put the cost to R5.1k. I feel ripped off by Avis. But now I am waiting for my remaining deposit yet avis is not transferring it back into my account and it's been like 8 days now. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Unless you are prepared to lose money.
Good service from Avis in general. The only problem is there is a tone of fees and charges that are not quoted for. Also I left the car with 1/2 tank petrol and got charged for a full tank with more fees. Returned another car a week prior with a full tank of petrol and once again got charged petrol. Feels a bit dishonest.
Will never use Avis ever again. Service received was always rude and unhelpful. Two weeks after car was returned, of their own accord they are deducting large amounts of money out of my account which is clearly not legal yet they don’t seem to care.
nothing short of a nightmare using this dealership, no feedback, can get hold of the branch and lost my holding deposit with no explanation, the customer service at avis is even worse, agents are so unfriendly, talk over you and don't even bother to assist. so disappointing

Avis has lost the plot...they used to be my go to rental for my business travel. My biggest frustration is the inconsistencies with the credit card hold on weekends. Very disappointing experiences of late and definitely lost a long time customer.
Their introduction to the additional R10000 deposit is understandable but if its not done across all branches like the airport ones it doesn't make sense to a regular user. Even after returning the car and getting the invoice, it will take forever to get that deposit back. Its 6 days and counting, I am still waiting for the funds to be released.
I'm not sure about this service. Car rental is one price and the "insurances" basically double the initial price. So many amounts on hold on my account. I had an incident where a very small rock on the road chipped the bonnet, now awaiting the assessment. Overall I wouldn't suggest this service for individuals as up to now they held ~12,000ZAR for renting a group B Renault Clio car for 2 days. Maybe it works out for companies, I just don't know.
