This is Peter Ma again you asked me to email your customer care center which i did The reply were: "even the car show full tank, we could still put more fuel in the car, hence we charge you!" I reply: " please point out where the contract state about this, clearly the contract?" and since there is no reply!" if this is not dishonesty of your organization, I don't know what is is?? Prepare for hidden cost when you rent from thiefty!
A total waste of time!!! I made a booking telephonically yesterday, December 22nd, 2022, and spoke to Yanesh who sent a bill and reservation confirmation on email not long after. I made a full advance payment for a C-Class sedan and confirmed all was in order for my pick up today, December 24th. When I visited the pick up branch in Sandton they advised that they needed to do vetting which I patiently waited for 40mins only to be told that vetting failed without a reason. They don't even bother to state the reason. What a total waste of time. I would never bother to do any business with them and do not recommended for anyone else to.
Made a telephonic booking yesterday with Trinay and she didn't send a confirmation email. We came to fetch the car and we are told a different story. My sister was told she needs a passport even though she had her ID in possession. I was asked for my credit card and cheque card and i didn't understand why she needed my details whereas my sister was paying for everything. We asked for Trinnay but we saw this rude lady helping us on her cell phone intermittently and she said the additional driver is on debt review, they can't drive the car. We asked how is debt review related to driving a car? She dismissed is to sit down and wanted only my sister all of a sudden. We sat down and waited as they checked on their systems whatever they check for. My sister got approved and we went to fetch the car. They gave us a dirty car, not clean inside and out and the car had a slow punch. Had they cleaned the car and checked it, they probably would have seen that the car had a slow punch. We inspected the car and showed damages and that guy was irritated with us saying he is not noting very small damages. We showed him how dirty the car was and he wasn't bothered because i know for a fact that you get the car clean and should return it the same way you found it. The lady helping us was a tall black lady with glasses and braids, she was as rude as they come what the hell!!!? I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this company. Sooooooo unprofessional!!!!!
I had a very good experience renting car from Thrifty, SANDTON branch , a nice and new BMW, and everything was perfect. The staff there who helped me and offered a good service was SIFISO, I recommend this company and this staff that he is always available to respond your requests very good.
I was helped by Nkosinathi Thusi at the Thrifty Sandton branch. He went out of his way to help me get a car before my 4pm meeting that I was nearly late for because my own car had issues. His service is amazing , he is calm and patience and goes the extra mile. He chose the correct price point and travel package that suited my budget. When i returned the car, he advised me what to do even though the office was closed. Im now choosing this branch first
My sincerest thanks and appreciation for the excellent service I received from Sisipho Kweyama, at Thrifty Car Rental, in Sandton. In all my years renting vehicles, I have never seen anyone in this industry give such remarkable levels of service. What a memorable experience it has turned out to be! She went the extra mile to help me find the right car. She went through an extraordinary amount of trouble to confirm the vehicle and availability. She even shared her cell number, communicated continuously, followed up and truly helped me out. I have never experienced such service! She went beyond what could be expected, not just renting me a vehicle, but listening, understanding and helping me. In what was a desperate situation, she made all the difference. Sisipho patiently answered all my questions and ensured that the return of the vehicle went smoothly. Furthermore, she kept following up even after her normal office hours. Thank you Sisipho!
Huge thank you to Nathi. We rented a car at Sandton Branch. Nathi was proactive and advised us about monthly rental options because we exceeded our rental extension period .Nathi was very helpful and answered a lot of my questions about monthly rental and deposit concerns. Thank you Nathi, we are definitely looking forward to extending this car rental on monthly basis : Thank you Thrifty for great customer service.
First time and my last time renting from Thrifty, i fill all required info online and was told to refill on a piece of paper everything when i arrived, worse to worse, i just fuel the car before i returned and confirm with the checker that every things is fine, 2 days later receive the invoice with extra fuel charge on that, not honest!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER DROPPED ME AT THE VERY LAST MINUTE WITHOUT EVEN EXPLAINING THE REASON WHY. WE BOOKED AND PAYED IN ADVANCE AND EVEN CALLED THEM TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS IN ORDER. THEY AGREED OVER THE PHONE THAT ALL IS WELL. WHEN IT WAS TIME TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE, THEY DECIDED TO TELL ME THAT MY APPLICATION WAS DECLINED WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION WHY. THEY EVEN REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY WHICH HINDERED MY EFFORTS TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE PLAN. I'M EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE, AND WOULDN'T EVEN RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES TO MY WORST ENEMY. IN FACT, GIVING THEM ONE STAR RATING IS AN OVERSTATEMENT, IF IT WERE UP TO ME, I WOULDN'T GIVE THEM A STAR AT ALL
This company is unprofessional with extremely poor service. They denied my application for a rental car with vaque reasons and poor communication .I am extremely disappointed by how they treat customers .
