It's remote, the terrain is rugged, but also spectacularly beautiful. Not for city slickers. If you like remote, rugged places though, this one belongs on your list! We stayed in the permanent tents - beds were comfortable and tents were well equipped. The bathrooms are quaint, with hot water from a "donkey" wood-fired boiler. The communal kitchen/braai area has every piece of equipment you may need - the hosts are very thorough. There is a chest freezer and fridge as well. Power is solar, hot water is either produced by gas geyser or donkey. Brilliant views, spectacular drives, access to Vanderkloof dam, 4X4 trail, etc. Most of all, peace, silence and NO MOBILE SIGNAL! Well worth a visit!

This is one of the most beautiful Karoo farm's I have ever been on! Where beter to come and find tranquility than such a luxury campsite in the Bo-Karoo. The road requires a hi ride vehicle, we did it on a dual purpose touring motorcycle and just added to the experience. The tented camp was very neat and the owner very helpfull and friendly! We will definitely be going back often.

Great getaway, no cellphone reception or electric power. Perfect to relax and be close to nature. Scenic 4x4 route and nice fishing spot.
