Nice place. Road to get to the place wasn't the best. Had a good weekend stay. The luxury tents are nice. Wish they could clean the private bathroom we had every day. The neighbors were a bit close. Could hear them throughout the night.
Campsite is fairly decent, but management nor the owner can enforce the rules. They allow loud music and screaming and shouting of guests into the early hours of the morning, making it very difficult to get some peace and quiet, not to mention a good night's rest.Nothing was done when a mother and her children were verbally abused by intoxicated guests at the swiming pool, even after she reported to management that racial and religious slurs were hurled at her and her kids. Im very glad we only booked 1 night as this resort will not see us again.
We loved our camping weekend. Quiet, well maintained and friendly staff. Worth the drive to get there!
Perfect get away spot for the person whom enjoys a camping environment. Some dirt road to be considered for low vehicles.Rooms: 4/5

Beautiful campsite. Beautiful views. However the ablutions are centrally placed, so if you book an end site, prepare to walk 250m or drive to the ablutions. Also remember to bring a very long extension chord as the plugs are not next to the site. The ground road is also not suited for cars, in places, with quite high islands. Bring your own water.
Beautiful place, quiet and real bush escape. The ablutions were fine, clean and serviced. Even some activities and playground for the kids. Their little shop has the basic of things you might need. Good stay, will definitely go back.
The park is stunning clean beautiful bathrooms, hot water staff friendly, peaceful and relaxing. Road is TERRIBLE def not for normal caravans unless u have insurance , such a pity as it puts people off. We WOULD love to go back but not on that road. They could do do with more bathroom further down in the park, it wasnt full so always had hot water. Thanks for a lovely weekend.
River run resort in vredefort. Camp sites are on the water - paved with lots of green grass. Camp block A is close to pools cold not heated and shop etc. entertainment area pool tables table tennis etc. ablutions are clean and pretty. Camp block B is also on the water but quieter with its own ablutions. There are also bush camp sites. No shops nearby but there is a shop at the resort. Take your own boat and tubes for the river. or use theirs for R80pp Take your own alcohol because buying from the resort is very expensive and they only sell in six packs. Camp site cost R440 very reasonable. The resort has permanent tents as well. Long sand road to the resort but definitely worth the trip. It’s a lovely road we stopped a few times to take photos.
Well we were the only guests. Restaurant and bar is non operational. The in house Cafe is overpriced and only stocks the really basic stuff. Not including bread. The unit we stayed in had an outdoor shower which is awesome. But while you shower the ground staff come round and trim the trees and bushes leaving you exposed. Think the resort is awesome. Just the way it is managed needs attention.
