Barneys Paint Centre Rivonia

Used to be a great spot as Barneys - guys were professional, prompt and knew what they were doing and so I went there for years. The lot that have taken over now are beyond useless. I went in yesterday to order paint to be mixed. Loadshedding meant that they couldn't do it. Fine. Went in today - 24 hours later. They are still in loadshedding and have no back up plan, they don't have the Wall&All base that I need and so even when the electricity is back, they won't be able to do it and no-one bothered to phone me to tell me as much. So a total waste of time and petrol. Can't see them staying in business for very long at this rate - their attitude and service stinks. Very annoying and irritating all round. RESPONSE TO RICH - Hi Rich. Thanks for the response. Google Reviews doesn't seem to allow me to respond to it. So herewith my additional thoughts. As an entrepreneur myself, it takes a lot for me to criticise another small business and part of the reason I went to Barneys for years was because it was a small business and not a big chain. But again, loadshedding is not an excuse; we've had it for 15 years in this country now, your staff offered nothing by way of an apology or explanation to me when I arrived to collect my paint, had no answer when I expressed my frustration other than "eish" and as I said in my original post, hadn't bothered to phone me to tell me what the problems were so that I could make an alternative plan. This despite knowing that I would be coming in the next day to collect paint that I expected - and had been told - would be ready and that I needed by today. I wish you - as I wish all small businesses - the best of luck but frankly, going to Builders was a lot more professional, easy and painless. And your staff, much as you care about them, need a serious wake up call.

Very nice bunch, great service! And if they don't have it in stock, they'll source it and have it delivered to you! So I was pleasantly satisfied and appreciated them going in the extra mile! Show them your support!

Bad service and after sales service. Was given the wrong paint and a cheaper quality paint and was lied to. Absolutely no help from sales and management to rectify the problem. Terrible

Great paint store experience. Friendly staff and they have their own house paint with a variety of colours at an affordable price.

The service in this place is very good, there are employees at the entrance who offer to help you as soon as you walk in.

Very helpful when it comes to DIY projects. They offer good advice and friendly service. Happy to refer you to another hardware should they be unable to help in some way. Definitely my go-to hardware.

They need more veritable in stock levels but their paint level is great
