Dropped of my VW Polo off for service, and received absolutely no communication regarding my car, when to expect it back, or whether to make transport arrangements. I had to call 8 times and still no one could get an answer from my service advisor. I eventually left work early to get to the dealership and get someone to tell me what's happening. Only to find out eventually that my car will take at least two nights to service
Not a great experience this time.... Their quality of service has drastically declined. Was not even advised that my car was ready for collection and the shuttle that dropped me off in the morning never followed up to come and collect me again. Ended up taking an Uber back to the dealer to find my car standing there ready for collection yet nobody bothered to inform me. When I arrive to collect I was also just ignored by service advisers and ended up waiting 15min before anyone even tried to assist me, the place was not even busy.... They reported an apparent issue with my car's water pump leaking, yet were not able to provide a single piece of evidence that it actually was, and the car is not showing any signs of any sort with the water pump having issues. The coolant levels weren't even below the minimum line... Yet they were very happy to quote to me R10k to replace it...but when confronted about it had no proof or good reasoning to justify the replacement of the pump. This brings in to question their motivation for wanting to replace an expensive part that doesn't seem to be broken or in need of replacement....If you ask them to inspect it to prove that it is broken, guess what, they will charge you just as much as actually replacing it... Last time I service my car at this dealership. They seem like they really want to, and are overly eager to replace things on your car....not just service it
Just popped in to pick up a part from Darren Arthur. Was met with a very professional welcome at the reception desk, along with an offer of some coffee. Darren was very helpful as well. I’m looking forward to any future interactions at this branch.
The service I received from the Service Team in Waterfront Dock Rd was exceptional and heartfelt, a follow-up phone call to rate service demonstrates a service level associated with Audi, especially after a previously dismal service and damage to my car at Audi Claremont. Shifting my entire working calendar day to obtain great service and thanks for accommodating my unpredictable calendar.
I have serviced my car at Barons for a few years and recently purchased a second hand VW from them. All my experiences with their staff have been exemplary, most recently a special mention of Dion in the workshop who helped me out with an emergency, pre-holiday fix. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff, quick check-in and check-out process, great free coffee while you wait for the free lift service which is super convenient. What more could you ask for? Well done, Team.
The staff will not call you back. I phoned them Tuesday, 16:30 to get an update on my car, then at 17:00 again. Siya confirmed he will email me with an update before 18:00. Then on Wednesday at 9:30 I called his manager and also could not get an update as I did not receive any emails. I then called Siya again to get answers. Our call got disconnected due to load shedding and he did not bother to call me back to finish our conversation. His manager also did not call me back as promised. At 10:30 I decided to drive to them to get answers. Then only did they look at my car and gave me a quote on the parts required. I paid deposit on the quote and requested regular update and that I would need my car back on Thursday afternoon. Thursday I phoned again at 16:30 to the manager to get an update. I am still waiting on a call from her to update me. This is the worst service I received in years!
Worst service ever , got message car would be ready at 5 , on my way to collect get msg car ready only next day .. get message car was done by 6, next morning car ready for collection at 10 .45 arrive at 12.12 can't give me car because they can't invoice, at time of writing waiting 20mins for a damm invoice they don't care,
I was shocked that this dealership handled our situation so badly. We took our new company car for its first year service. The VW dealership driver had a major accident with our car. When we asked for a replacement car. We were told by the manager that they don't have cars lying around. Even is this dealership has insurance to repair our car our car has been devalued and suffered major damages. We now have no transport and we were told that we must wait for their legal team. Baron Motors VW we are now looking at other avenues to get justice.
Had the worse experience at barons… took my car for a service after a week I noticed something is missing from the car as I don’t drive it everyday … I went back to ask them about it … I was told that they will review the footage get back to me … yes I know not to leave personal stuff in car but this stuff that was taken was out of sight … not that I want it back as I’m not going to but the mere fact that they not interested in knowing who took the stuff is them condoning the fact that their staff can take stuff that don’t belong to them and they not interested in wanting to know …even though I mention the items is missing their response is there nothing u can do so u telling me your staff can take peoples belongings and u just going to be ok with it even though people pay how many thousands of rands.
