Bespoke by Kate is a privately owned jewellery consultancy owned and managed by qualified GIA gemologist and jewellery designer Kate Shearer. Born and raised in South Africa, Kate has always had a lifelong passion for gemstones, diamonds, jewellery and a keen appreciation for luxury goods.
This led to Kate’s decision to attend the prestigious Gemological Institute of America in New York, where she studied under the worlds top gemological experts working in the field today. After graduating with a Graduate Diploma in Gemology and Jewellery Design, Kate honed her expertise by working in High Jewellery at Cartier on Fifth Avenue, before returning to Cape Town to start her own business.
