Bon Hotel Midrand

It was ok, rooms are clean, although the one I got had no shower caps, hand wash soap, laundry bags. The air-condition was need to be fixed. They were not functioning. Its a safe place, my car was safe.

Checked in around 10pm. Reception was not welcoming. An hour after checking in, our key card was not presented to us. After enquiring, I had to wait another 10 minutes for reception to 'fetch it upstairs'. Not the hotel's fault, but there was no water in the area which made the experience that much worse. The next morning, breakfast was not ready at 07h00, after confirming it will be ready at 06h30. They also couldn't provide me with a iron. Needless to say, we cut the stay short.

This is the worst place I've ever wasted my money on. How do you allow patrons to party with so much noise and loud music until after midnight? Why is the management allowing such selfish and inconsiderate behavior? It is 12:30 am as as I write this email and the noise from the rooms and corridor is as if people are at a park. Disappointed and disgusted

I had good and worst experience. The good- the room was clean and smelling good. The linen was clean and the heater was perfect. The bad- the was no water for two days that I was there. The toilet didn't flush at all. When I called the receptionist to complain about water, she said they were busy fixing the geyser. The carpets are old and filthy and needs to be changed. There was no sugar or coffee and the kettle looked dirty. I don't recommend anyone to stay there. There were people making noise in the pool area at 12 midnight. That was the worst stay of my life

Place looks amazing, if I stay longer I'm sure there was much to see. The guy receptionist was helpful enough and check in was easy. The room was clean though not spacious. The electricity kept tripping, all in all it was a lovely and comfortable place for an overnight stay.

The stay was horrible, we just couldn’t wait for the next morning and just check out. People smoke in the rooms and there was gum on the headboard. The rooms have a kettle and cups but no tea or coffee so you will enjoy hot water I guess? The carpet was so dirty, an asthmatic person will not survive. Informed the receptionist, she didn’t care. Trust me when I say cheap is expensive!

I had pre-booked 11 different rooms, ranging from family rooms to single rooms for the guests at my wedding to stay at before the ceremony. There was an agreement made 2 months prior with Maria to ensure that the rooms will be available from 9am on the day so that my bride to be and the rest of our guests can get ready before the wedding ceremony. On the day my wife had endless issues at the hotel from getting told that we have no rooms booked to getting told that there was no arrangement made, this after all payment was made in full. When I called the hotel and spoke to Maria after my wife had to start getting ready for our wedding in the corridor I was greeted with attitude and utter disregard for the situation, being told that our arrangement had to be dishonoured because the hotel didn't want to lose out on income from other prospective guests which I suppose is acceptable, however, why was an arrangement made with me if this was to be the case?. When arriving at the hotel, the bathrooms were dirty, showers dirty, toilets smelled like it hadn't been cleaned and as the cherry on the top, there weren't enough key cards for all the rooms we had booked, so, the gentlemen at reception had to use one card to open the room, come back to the front desk, reprogram the card and open another room then again reprogram that card for the first room. I will most certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone, based purely on its poor management and lack of guest relations.

I booked this place and when I arrive they notify me that they do not have water since the past 24 hours yet they still accepting booking requests and taking people's money in these conditions. This is totally unacceptable and people are suffering because they did not make a booking knowing that there is no water, had they known there is no water I highly doubt they would have booked the place. I really needed a long hot shower which I could not receive. Highly disappointed and highly do not recommend this place

Experienced problems with hot water in the room, toilet pressure was low, the hair dryer was broken, plugs went out and they also don't provide tea/coffee in the room, they only provide a kettle and you have to buy the tea bags/coffee and sugar. Front desk service could be a lot quicker.Rooms: 3/5

Very noisy at night. People out making noise at the pool. Not enough sugar and coffee even for one person. Would not recommend anyone to stay here. Very bad experience we had.Rooms: 1/5
