Hardly saw any wildlife, toilets in a horrible condition, picnic facilities in a horrible condition. I would not recommend this park. Water in dam is green and dirty. Playground: None available Restrooms: Toilets leaking or not working, basins stolen, dirty Picnic area: Run down, braais has no grids on, some braais rusted through, broken glass all over
Nice place for a game drive. We had a good time camping but the facilities were in very bad shape. If you can work around that I would highly recommend going for a visit.
This use to be the best place to go fishing and view wildlife. The bathrooms in the camp sites are so run down you can not use them. The visitors just leave all their rubbish on the ground. There is no control over the fishing, so fish population is under pressure. Don’t waist your time.
One of the most scenic parks I have been to. So much potential but badly run down. It would be such an attraction if under the right management.
Very nice place to relax with family and very friendly staff. Also helpful how they have a little shop near by if you are in need of anything .Great loved it
The picnic area NEEDS some serious makeover ,frankly there is none as it is left unattended had to use a fishing spot to chill and eat but overall great scenery and wildlife ...best seen at the dam around sunset .....
It is sad to see such a beautiful NATIONAL PARK in this condition. The potential of this park under the right management is enormous. 1Stock the the shop and re open it. 2 Install a wifi dish for speed point 3 Repair and clean ablutions 4Cut the grass at all camp sites and picnic areas weekly and build decent tented camps and accomodation facilities at the dam and river. 5 Install wifi cameras at gate and around camping and picnic sites that are monitored by security personnel on site with a response team maybe local policefor anti poaching and security. Rhinos can then be re introduced 6 When all this measures are in place, the park will definitely generate a decent income and more people will visit this beautiful park. 7 Surely NW park boards can get funding from government. The other option is to hand the management over to the private sector.
Nature at it's best. Tranquil, a breath of fresh air away from the bustle and hustle of urban life. Will visit the reserve anytime
Had a great time with my brother, caught Carp & Tilapia.
Beautiful place with a nice fishing experience.
