Burger Box Roadhouse

My updated review on the last few visits - please read my full review. Milkshakes and Ribs is the best here!!! However I would recommend the drive through for better service... After last night and on the last 2 x visits the experience wasn't as expected, they ran out of ribs .... can happen, so it was okay?! We decided to go again .... and. take the kids to the play area and enjoy our dinner at an table, time was around 8pm and moderately busy, after a few minutes, with no waiter pitching.... I had to go and find one.... strike 1 We order drinks, they came after awile, then he informed us that they ran out of one drink ie 3x horlicks .... I politely said next time, before letting us wait, come and tell us, so we can pick something else.... then we waited for sugar... and the other drink, strike 2. Strike 3 ... please train the waitors on your menu, after about 5/6 attempts to explain what we wanted, he sort of got it, food came then cutlery..... I wasn't impressed with my cheese burger as it was the same size as the kiddie cheese burger .... especially with the name Burger Box, was my first burger here.... taste was good, but I will rather op for ribs. Management, Your competitors are all round, poor service and let down om food is sending your clients elsewhere, for what we paid and receive, we could have had a much better experience. Burger Box has been around for as long as I can remember. It is always a good choice for a meal when we are in the vicinity. The variety is huge, the portions are very generous and the standards have not wavered for decades. They have recently put up shade netting which helps when eating in your car in summer. They also have the option of inside and outside seating. Try their caramel crunch milkshake, its a treat. Highly recommended.

Recently renovated and updated. One of the few original Roadhouses left. Great service, food well prepared and options that will make the entire family happy! In car dining experience with a big screen television that tunes into your car audio system. Additionally step into the dining area equipped with a playground that will keep the kids entertained for hours.

Great selection from burgers, to pizza and something for the whole family. I enjoyed a toasted sandwich with a butterscotch milkshake, was very satisfied with my choice. Park and eat in your car, dine inside or outside with and very good and clean kiddies play area. This is a great place for food on the go or to spoil the family. The waitrons that served me was well mannered but had a different person coming to my window everytime.

Vintage Diner experience, loved the exterior of building real original roadhouse look and feeling. The service was quick, friendly efficient. What more can I say food to die for Kid-friendliness: Outside the building needs a bit of work, but kids have fun.

Food is great, lots of flavour, one of the few roadhouses whose chips don't taste like it's been made in old oil. The presentation is on point. Portions are big, so if your are really hungry, they'll sort you out.Food: 4/5

They are service is so fast u don't wait for long to get ur food and they have starter to choose from while there preparing ur main course yoooh the food its so delicious yaah they know there story thanx for ur effort guys keep it up hy

Was a excellent experience. This was the best waiter I ever had, food was great. Everything was just amazing.Definitely recommend it 10/10.

I have been eating there for 15 years. Since upgrade it has become ridiculously expensive, at R34 per glass of red BOX WINE, they are getting R700 for a 5l box that probably costs R250...daylight robbery!!!, food is no longer delicious if you refuse to pay for bad food that you have not eaten you will get a lashing from Johan, the manager and service is terrible as always. I only go there on a Sunday for an ice-cream . The place is also mostly at about 30% full whereas it was always chock n block full... pity

The menu will cater for everyone - so much to choose from! The chips served with my choice of russian and chips was the largest helping of chips I've ever had - definitely enough for 2/3 and fried to perfection - crispy outside, soft inside. Will definitely pay it another visit. The only negative was the food took for ages to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Fabulous roadhouse experience, as there are not many around these days
