Bushman Valley

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Bushman Valley - 2 nights camping and 1 night at their upper log cabin. The campsites have electricity, water and a small shaded kitchen area. Our site had grass which was great for our ground tent. The log cabin was cute and even has a hot tub. It's a beautiful rest area that feels remote, even if you're only 5km from town. The staff Pieter and Piet were super friendly and helpful! We will return one day...

Did the yellow hiking trail. It was an excellent route along the ridge. Tough in the January heat , but well marked. We started at 7am, took our time and finished at 12 noon. Reception told us that the hiking trails were free, so no cost! Thanks very much. Highly recommended!

A delightful hideaway in the hills at the foot of Swartberg Pass just outside Prince Albert. There are walking trails, a swimming pool, two coal-fired jacuzzis, a huge lapa a bit draughty in winter, and 5 or 6 well-appointed stone and wooden cottages perfectly maintained by three cheerful men. Our cottage had everything we required and is wheelchair accessible. Everything was in good working order. A generator sorted out loadshedding, WiFi in the cottage was rather intermittent but very usable at the office.

We camped here for one night and can't review any accommodation, but it has to be said that I will return to this venue and camp here again. The campsite is situated just outside Prince Albert and is located in the Bushmans Valley, a dry and desolate yet beautiful setting.

Tent friendly , clean , hot showers . Enjoyed our day there. Safety: Very safe no worries at all.

Lovely setting surrounded by mountains, i was lucky enough to see a Klipspringer on the top of the mountain and a pair of eagles- we hope we will see their nest tmw. . Camp/caravan sites have a small area of green grass to pitch your tent on, or jyst to relax on. An enclosed area with a roof provides protection from the wind. A basin with cold water, electricity and a dustbin and you have it all. Ablutions a distance away depending on where you stay, have ample gas heated hot water. An efficient staff member sold us wood and checked us in. Swimming pool looks inviting.

Spent a night camping and the campsites were very well maintained, spacious and some even have a shelter for your vehicle. The staff are friendly, the bathrooms are decent but the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Will definitely be backRooms: 5/5

Brilliant campsite in a stunning location and with some of the best facilities of any campsite I have been to. Each camp site has power, water, and a small covered area. It is located in a valley so can get very windy, but this is all part of the natural beauty. There are also several nice hiking trails on the property.
