Cafe Rousse, Clearwater Mall

Cozy cafe within Clearwater Mall. Daily specials on the menu. We were lucky enough to have the seafood pasta and the burger both on special. The food was well made and delicious. The service was really good too.

Cafe Rousse in Clearwater. The staff is professional and friendly. We were there Saturday morning at 0900. They were not busy at that time. We ordered eggs Benedict, I enjoyed it although my brother and sister in law thought the sauce was a little bit on the sour side but still they enjoyed their Eggs Benedict as well. Their health drinks were also nice. We were so hungry, I forgot to take a picture of the food. We asked for soft eggs and we got what we asked for. Thanks for the good service

Worst experience ever!!!! I wish I could give a 0 star rating but a 1 is sufficient as my wife enjoyed her meal!!! My wife and I went there today Saturday 28/05/2022 at around 18:30. Floors and table was dirty, the little couch was full of crumbs. Our order took close to 30min to arrive, my wife ordered the Tiana's platter which was a seafood dish, it was freshly prepared, however the 200g sirloin steak medium to rare as per my request with chips and onion rings which I had ordered was cold and the steak was well done, I notified the waitress about my cold food to which she apologized and returned it to the kitchen, not long thereafter the manager came to apologize and said my meal was cold due to my wife's seafood meal taking long to prepare, and I was bluntly told by the manager that they would just reheat the same well done piece of steak and add some basting to make it juicy needless to say my steak came back worse than it was before, close to biltong dry which I can safely say was the worst piece of steak I have ever had. Fresh chips but it was a smaller portion than before and burnt onion rings. This is simply disgusting to treat your customers like this. I doubt I will ever go there again. Zero rating for customer service and for how the manager handled the situation.

I ordered Tiana's platter and it took a while to arrive plus the calamari strips were bland and the mussels too. It's an OK-ish placeFood: 2/5

Nice cousy place to hang out. Being my 1st time here, I ordered fish and chips. Was a little too petite than I had expected, wouldn't recommend it if you come in hungry, however enjoyed it.

Horrible, food is rotting, substandard and a shocking portion, I ordered a Halloumi Salad, I received a shallow bowl with about 10 lettuce leaves, 5 slices of cucumber, 4 halves of the smallest tomatoes I have ever seen, 4 halves of a slightly larger tomato, rotting avocado. Service was slow, waited over 45 min for my salad. Won't be returning

Never will I eat here again. You have to order precisely what is on the menu, you cannot substitute or eliminate any food from your order. I asked if I could have a normal burger with added “cheese sauce” on the side or on the burger and was told they cannot put cheese sauce on the burger or on the side as it does not come with the burger. Then please explain to me why there is an option to add extra items to you meal? I then asked whether I could have a plain and simple ham and cheese tremazzini and was again told no as I can only have a chicken tremazzini which is apparently the only option on the menu. Honestly I’ve never been limited to such an extent by a waitress before. I had to settle for a ham, cheese and tomato sandwich which I asked for no tomato but received it with tomato. Seriously worst food and service ever! While we were eating one of the waiters accidentally poured a whole glass of cool drink out on a customer and just stood there watching her as if she’s supposed to help herself. These waiters clearly have absolutely no training. Not worth ever eating here, don’t waste your time!

This was without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had. A summary of the experience? - the waitress spilled the drink across my mother in law - she was a trainee, only there for a week. Nobody helped her clean up, - the manager never came to apologize or check on us. When we complained to him, he said he was doing a stock take an didn't know. He still did nothing to assist. - the mushroom omlette ordered came without mushrooms - the food took 40 minutes to come out -No substitutions or options There was absolutely NO compensation, no apologies, just an explanation from her that she's new. She was shaking and near tears and still she had no support, the manager still did not check on the table.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. For the 1st time in my life that i had to sprinkle salt on a burger.Food: 1/5

No wonder this place is always quiet. I will never come back, not even for a coffee. I ordered a Margarita pizza for my son, asked for some chicken as an extra topping. Waittress returnded and informed me that it would be R70 EXTRA for chicken, I can buy a whole chicken for R20 more. The Margarita pizza is R79. Disgusting. If I could give zero stars I would. I hope you close your doors soon. Wake up and see how places are closing down -
