Hands-on physio
Carmen de Lange has been qualified as a physiotherapist for 9 years. After completing her degree at the University of Pretoria in 2002, she went to work as a community physiotherapist at Ngwelezane Hospital in Zululand, KZN. In 2004 she moved to Cape Town and by the end of the year headed to the UK. She worked as a senior physiotherapist in London for two years before returning to South Africa to start her own practice.
CDL physio has been providing the Durban North community with a quality physiotherapy service since June 2007 and now to Umhlanga Rocks from April 2011.
The aim is to provide each client with a professional service while maintaining a personal touch. Each person is treated globally, not just symptomatically and a large focus is on the prevention of pain and injuries particularly in office workers and sportsmen.
We use all modalities of physiotherapy but prefer manual therapy over electrotherapy. This includes the use of needles, strapping, massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization and specific rehabilitative exercise.
Carmen de Lange is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of SA) and is a member of the SASP (South African Society of Physiotherapists).
