Good Chinese food, in the North West or Free State is ... well ...like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Thank goodness for Chang Chang. Been frequenting this establishment for many years now. Food is delicious, the owners are friendly. The decor is very plain and dated, but the staff are wonderful. Highly recommended.
I'm torn 5 Star for the food 0 Stars for the staff, rude and short from the beginning. Listening half to orders, telling you to go sit when you ask a menu after being in the empty shop for quite some time. No greetings introduction or smiles from the waitresses. We also found hair in our food that didn't match anyone at the table's. We called a waitress who took it back and brought it back again and said she had removed it for us, my partner asked her if that's how they usually handle this sort of thing and she asked if she should take it back and my partner responded with do you usually just take out hair found in food and bring it back to the customer... In which the response was "okay fine I'll take it back"... they later brought back a plate that didn't have the same variety of food in that we sent back. The food was great, the owner introduced himself and seems very nice, but the waitresses ruined the experience.
I love the food, it is excellent and filling to the brim. My father knows the owner he knows almost everyone in Parys. You never have to wait long for your order and everyone is nice there. While you there get a fortune cookie.
Sushi and food is delicious. But the sushi's rice always fell apart. And they can really get new friendly staff. With new staff I can guaranteed you more clients. The girls and guy that's working there is so unfriendly and the look on there faces is almost like they're scared you gone take something from them and they not clean. So the people that's working there is not clean so it lett you wonder if the food is even clean!
Chang Chang is a small restuarant, nothing fancy BUT the nicest chinese food prepared by the owner himself. Friendly staff and owner will always make a point of coming to your table to greet you and if u become a regular there you can be assured of a little surprise snack being brought to your table by owner himself. Prices are very reasonable.
