The owners, James and Brooke welcome you, James cooks for you and even puts the pretty little flowers on your pillow. We stayed over for a working visit and had a fantastic time there. James the host is an amazing and friendly person. Clean and beautiful rooms, breathtaking views and a safe neighbourhood.
we had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Cheviot Place. The house is very well located and we took an Uber to get to all the sights in a few minutes. You also have a very nice view of the sea and the sunset. Also great was the friendliness and helpfulness of James. He always has great ideas for a day out e.g. the morning walk to Leonshead and prepares a perfect breakfast. In fact, it feels like visiting a friend. Thank you again for the wonderful stay.
James is the best and friendliest host ever and helped us with everything ! It's a lovely characterful house, great breakfasts, personally made by James. Quiet street and views ! Close enough to vibey Green Point main road to walk. Highly recommended!!
A bit rustic but a fantastic room with great views. The host was a great character who regularly dropped us downtown after his superb breakfasts. On the hillside amongst all the colonial style homes. At the bottom of the hill is a fantastic row of shops and restaurants where the food is amazing.
The owner and host James was so nice and helped us with infos for activities in Cape Town! The guest house is in a perfect condition and very clean. It´s located in optimal proximity to all relevant tourist places! Breakfast was lovely!!! Stay here when you are in Cape Town!
I want to go back. The front room at the top is the best room for views. James is the best host who is looking to ensure your stay is restful, whilst sorting out as many, or as few of your trips and information needs as you put to him. I cannot fault this guest house for short or long term vacations.
This is our 5th visit to this guest house. Feels like home when ever we visit. Have brought our family of 9 including 5 little boys. James & Brook made them feel so at home. Comes highly recommend. Both of them are ready to help with loads of recommendations.
We loved our time in Cheviot place. James, the owner, is a fantastic and very helpful person. We definitely will come back.
If you are looking for a home away from home this is the place. The experience started before we even arrived- James the owner contact us and ask if we need any help or special arrangements. Since the moment we got to his places - he helped us with recommendations, booking etc. and everything with a smile. After a week I can say that I’m truly consider James as a friend and he and his family are welcome in my house. The place itself is a renovated house, beautiful rooms, cozy common area. Beer, wine and mineral water are available with a trust pay system. Great breakfast, very clean place. A lot of free parking places on the street. Nice view and walking distances to green point park and the ocean.
Fabulous guesthouse. Great location. Wonderful staff. James the owner is a top man. Will be back
