The CPF is a group of people from different sectors of the community working together with SAPS and the community for a better and safer precinct.
Every resident and business owner that falls within the Diep River precinct who wishes to become part of the SOLUTION AGAINST CRIME in our area is encouraged to become actively involved in the Community Policing Forum.
What can you do to become part of making a difference against CRIME?
Diep River has a large part of the Valley it looks after- they are: Southfield, Plumstead, Diep River, Meadowridge, Steurhof and Constantia.
1. Become an active member in your Neighbourhood Watch in your area
2. Attend the relevant meetings
3. Contribute in whichever way possible, through time, skills or financial contributions and donations.
4. Always be alert, be the "eyes and ears" of SAPS and report suspicious behaviour
Your active involvement and commitment will give you the opportunity to offer your unique skills and resources in the collective fight against crime, towards our safety and security.

The mission of the CPF is to:
- Create a partnership between the community and SAPS
- Build communication between the community and SAPS
- Promote the needs of the community regarding policing
- Improve the rendering of Police Services to the community
- Promote transparency and accountability of the Service to the community
- Promote joint problem identification and problem solving with SAPS and the community
- Promote respect for human rights
- Mobilize the community and organisations to join the relevant Forums and Structures
- Assist with the initiation and co-ordinations of social crime prevention programmes and projects
