Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital

This should not be called a hospital. Hospitals are places where people get treated and nursed back to health. The treatment was non existent and nursing staff didn't seem interested in any of the patients. Don't know if it's gross incompetence or they just don't care. My father had an infection in his abdomen, they were treating him for his lungs. I asked for blood tests to check his white blood cells. I was told it's none of my business. I make arrangements to speak to his doctor. After waiting for 3 hours, they tell me the doctor would only be in later. I went back 3 hours later, during visiting only to be told the doctor had come and gone already, only to find her sitting at the nursing station. Eventually after 9 days I got to talk to the doctor. While still there during the visiting hours, someone then came with 4 files to take blood. They could not even get any blood out of him, he was so starved and dehydrated. That was my last visiting hour and I never want to see ward 4 or the 'click' that work there. Their most urgent action was phoning me at 4am to tell me my father had passed away. Shame on you Yusuf Dadoo. I brought my father to you to help him live, you helped him to his grave. I would strongly suggest that anyone needing medical attention, avoid Yusuf Dadoo at all costs.

My experience at this hospital was very good. From the nurse all the way to the Doctor who helped me deliver my baby. It is heartwarming to know that there are still people who do their jobs wholeheartedly. Shoutout to the Maternity morning team.

The stuff is very friendly and the doctors are very professional. Excluding the long lines, I recived excellent service at a public facility and I was very impressed. Oh!!! I also got free sample toothpaste lol.

Visited the dentist clinic. They opened at 7 am we waited more than 2 hours for the dentist to actually show up. It's honestly pathetic!

Worst treatment recieved from trainee Doctor at casuality he has attitude towards patients making rude comments that why do they think the medication that was given from the clinic will work immediately "you are just being dramatic" just go open a file we will see you his words directly night duty staff 08/10/22. I don't think when you took an oath to save lives it was written somewhere to mistreat people because if that's the case you are in the wrong industry sir. From the receptionist to Dr Leabelo your service was outstanding thank you for giving us support and making sure we went home fully satisfied with my daughter being well and stable. Thank you

My experience was good. The labour ward delayed a bit but all was well thereafter. Shout out to sister Moleboheng and the morning shift team ! You are all amazing. Sorry I didn’t get all your names y’all’s never introduce yourselves

Was in a queue of less than 20 patients from 5pm to 1am the next day. That is from 19 June to 20 June 2022 in the morning. Patients were completely ignored. My cousin had an x-ray done which was just thrown away when she took it back to casualty. No one explained its findings to her. Patients kept requesting to be transferred to leratong but the nurses happily continued chatting or walking up and down ignoring them. Why take up a job if you hate it so much. This hospital has gone to the dogs. Pathetic service. They don't deserve a 1 star yet some few years back I got the best service here. What went wrong?

They are slowly and they don't care how critical you are.. I took my son there he is critical injured but we end up left because they didn't attend us

I thought this hospital was better than other government hospitals. We arrived at 20:00 with my child of 3. She has something up her nose. The male nurse assisting us with bp and sugar etc was very helpful from there we were to be seated to wait for them to call me. I waited 2 hours! No one came to ask if we are okay or to state that we are next or will be assisted shortly! This was an emergency with a toddler but the staff just doesnt care! It gives this hospital a bad name

My experience at Yusuf was great, I thought it would be the same as coronation where nurses shout at patients, but my stay was pleasant and the food was great. I would like to thank everyone from reception to the last Dr who discharged me. This will be my go to hospital from now on.
