I can recommend drone gear to all, we had some small technical issues with an order, but the staff was very professional and assisted us to sort out all issues quickly and hassle free. thank you guys for wonderful service ! will definitely support again.
I made a purchase on a Saturday and was informed that it would arrive the following Friday. Friday came and passed no feedback or update. I called and was told to send a Whatsapp with order number, the boss would revert, but only got an unsatisfactory response 3 days later. I made numerous calls following up on my order but was told no one knew the ETA. I only got a call when I requested a refund and was told the parcel would be arriving later that day. I proceeded there the following morning, to my dismay, I was told there was miscommunication and there parcel is not there. Drone Gear, please do better with your communication with your clients, I am pretty sure you wouldn't be chuffed with such a service.
Jacques and the team where amazing! I was having issues with a previously purchased Pro 2 Zoom drone, they where amazing in troubleshooting and getting it sorted as soon as possible for me. With constant and great communication and service. 10/10 reccomend.
They have an excellent range of products on their website, but after filling out their form for trading in a used drone twice I still have not gotten a response for months. My first attempt was on 22 November 2022, no response as of 20 January 2023. My second attempt was on 9 January 2023, no response as of 20 January 2023. EDIT: Drone Gear reached out to me shorty after posting this review to express their apologies and to offer to rectify this. I declined but nonetheless I appreciate that amount of effort after 9pm on a Friday and thus my review has been bumped up from 2 stars to 4.
I am new to the drone world and am a pretty fast learner. I took a very bad distance judgement and totalled my new drone. I took it into these guys and the initial service was amazing. Even though they don't stock magic wands to fix my very costly mistake. I then opted to buy a preowned drone from them because I felt they had done such an amazing job and a preowned drone would have been thoroughly checked. This part of the journey has been really bumpy the drone is locked on another account it won't update firmware ,props missing, from the kit batteries won't charge consistantly . My frustration is that I am booked on a trip to Vicfalls and now have rescheduled my trip because of this. I have messaged and called without any reply. I live very far from them and it's a real worry I am being ignored. Will up date as this plays out. Up date the team did contact me and excuses after excuses why the drone can't be unlocked and I must just use it linked to another account Although drone crash protection and insurance say it cannot be flown in another account. Won't do an EFT refund into my account it must be done via point of sale because they pay 3 percent on the transaction otherwise. Despite me having rebooked my trip the refund will take 7 days and I won't have the drone for my trip. So who is paying my diesel costs .of 1000 Rand from ixopo and back and the hour I stood while people fumbled around. And now I am told they did me a favour of buying my accessories for 2k so they could advertise them on gumtree for 3600 Stay away from this place they are No good for you health. Asked to trust the store a refund has been done but not given proof of such. I have been in the store since 11h15 and still haven't got my refund it's now 13h32
Unfortunately the Mavic mini controller did not hold a charge, it just runs down after being charged. Got the runaround from Dronegear when I called. Post it to them for checking and then they may send it to dji. The lady actually suggested that I should buy a new controller at R1,800!!! So that's a minus 10 rating for dronegear - on a par with droneworld - also exceptionally bad customer service.. Quick delivery & good prices are completely cancelled out by a sub-standard product. When a product doesn't work it should be replaced with a working product with postage covered by the dealer - it's their error. What a rip-off.
Was referred to them by ODP in Pretoria. Keagan helped me-friendly,efficient and highly professional. My drone has been ordered and awaiting delivery!!
Great business. Had a crash with my drone and was not able to get repaired but they gave me a great trade in to be able to get a new one. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to buy a drone and take to the sky's.

Instore service was 10/10 the owner and his wife has a depth of knowledge about their industry. Two days after purchasing the Dji 3 Mini Pro I had a few questions which they resolved speedly and promptly. The owner even gave me his personal number to make contact with him after hours. 1. Instore Service 10/10 2. After Sales Service 10/10 I highly recommend Drone Gear in Watercrest Mall.
