Hi everyone, my name is JD Jacobs and I live in a small, rural town, 900km away from Cape Town and 900km away from Johannesburg called Upington. Yes, that warm place right at the top of the Northern Cape. Yesterday I received a phone call from very dear friends of mine, Andre and Cerina van Blerk. They have a 3-year-old daughter called Tia. Don't let her young age fool you, she has gone through more suffering in her young life than most adults in their 70s. She was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. Being a small town, we all pulled together to raise money to help with the massive bills, you see cancer has started to spread. Last night I received a call from her dad, being a father of a 7-month-old son, I can't imagine the sheer hell they must have gone through. I am in the gas business here in Upington called Gas City and he asked me if I can organize medical oxygen for her. Unfortunately, I don't have the medical license to resell medical oxygen so I rather suggested an oxygen concentrator machine. So I gave him my word I would do my very best to somehow find a way to help. So this morning just after 7am I started scouring the internet in search of the correct machines for her. Of all the various companies, one stood out head and shoulders above the rest. That company was Ecomed. I send them a single email and received a phone call from a very friendly and helpful lady, Sonja. I send her pics of little Tia as well and described the entire scenario. I think it wasn't more than an hour later I received a phone call from Natasha. She called to inform me that she took my story and little Tia's pics to her boss, Mr. Greg De Freitas the director of Ecomed, definitely the hero in all this. He immediately gave the order to sponsor Tia a machine and a cylinder of medical oxygen for when we have power cuts as well as having a trained nurse deliver it to them and set it all up and said they can use it for as long as she needs it. It won't cost her parents a single cent. I have always believed the most innocent and vulnerable in the world, the little children, has a much more special place in the heart of our Creator. Mathew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence." Today the Ecomed was the true embodiment of that verse! Thank you Ecomed for helping us out may your company, your staff and everyone involved in this miracle be blessed for your kindness and unselfish willingness to help! I spoke to many companies today to find quotes, all of them gave quotes, except one, Ecomed, they gave hope, love and Godly grace. There is NO way we can ever repay your generosity.

A huge thank you goes out to Michelle Laufs from Ecomed!! I was on the phone for hours trying to find Oxygen for my father and Michelle was like a guardian angel sent at just the right time!!! My sincere thanks and gratitude to Michelle at Ecomed. My 91 year old Mother was close to the end when the Home advised that she was battling to breath and required an Oxygen machine. My Mother passed away on 7th May, 2020. I wanted to say a special thank you to Michelle for the incredible service offered when, on a Public Holiday, she arranged delivery of the machine for my Mom in a matter of hours. I like to think that the machine made her passing a little easier for her. Your kindness and assistance will never be forgotten. Hi I am Nana Twala, I am very disappointed with your service. I have been calling you guys to send me a rep from your side to come check my child's unit. Even after so many promises nothing has happened. Now it is 2020 from the year 2019 I don't remember anyone from your side coming, this is very disturbing knowing that your unit is some kind of a life support unit. There's been loadshedding all over the country that could affect the unit but no one has taken that into consideration and visit us. As long as the payment goes through to you guys every month then you are happy and don't care about the rest.

I am so glad that John Morland is back as the technician servicing my brother's and my oxygen machines. He is always friendly and he will answer all questions cortiously and make sure I understand what is happening.

Ecomed was very professional and always helpful at all times with my very ill suster. Any person wondering if Ecomed is the best oxygen company in RSA, they outshine all other oxygen companies on all operations levels as always including price and product ranges. SHOCKING SERVICE!! Waiting since Monday 20 May to get the rep Marietjie / Mariette to replace a defective concentrator. Do you understand that your client is OXYGEN dependent and cannot sleep without it??? Pulmonary Hypertension is not a disease to mess around with! This is not the first time they have been a no show!!!! Horrified that #DiscoveryHealth has them as a provider. You had better hope and pray that nothing happens to my family member while you "keep forgetting" the appointments!!
