Edendale Hospital - Medical Ward

Better than what I expected definitely way better than Northdale Hospital. Service is slow but at least staff is helpful. What I saw from the Hospital it was clean even the toilets are decent. Don't now why all the security guards suppose its just the world we live in today.

The waiting was understandable since it is a public hospital, but the service we received from patient administration, MOPD, ward 5B1 was exceptional. Keep up the good work Edendale #HarryGwalaRegionalHospital

The 2 stars are for the nurse who kept assistant us, other wise would have been zero, the doctor's keep admitting patients when there are no more beds, and patients end up sleeping on the benches - MOPD

If I could I would give zero I have been here since 5 in the morning waiting for a file there are wheelchairs but they are chained up so the person I am with who can't walk has to sit all alone watching doctors planning parties nurses not paying attention but what else can you expect from something we are getting for free

Rude attitudes of staff especially Dr Dladla in emergency room or clinic on 4 January 2021 he was so rude, he can't even give you update on patient. I come in @ 22:30 by 06:00 in the morning the next day there were no update. Please treat people as human we know doctors are educated and black people are known for not knowing their rights but please don't treat us like dogs black life matters.

Do not deserve any stars. Very few patients in the trauma unit but still took 6 hrs to have an xray done for a query fracture and who knows how much longer it is going to take to see the Dr. No pain medication administered or anything to eat or drink during this time. Dont they triage their patients?

I am proud that the hospital is optimal. A good gov hospital in the region. Only downfall is rude attitudes of staff and that gives a negative atmosphere. Strict regulation needs come into that if we want the gov hospital to be of great standard! :-

The ICU unit is one of the best in this countries government hospitals. They have done so much forr my husband, he has been in ICU for a month now, we almost lost him 4 times but the doctors and nurses didn't give up and went the extra mile for him. Thank you for service excellence, and dedication.

My uncle Petros has been admitted since the 14th Oct and he has not seen a doctor or received any prognosis of what could be the issue with him...he is currently in the G ward and we can only access via the cellphone which has been since yesterday..no visitors allowed at the moment due to COVID....the ward number just keeps disconnecting.....HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CHECK ON OUR loved ones........extremely dissapointed

Considering all the terrible reports one reads about our government hospitals, it"s great to find one that is clean and efficient. All you need is lots of patience because you endure long periods of waiting. However, apart from that aspect, I am very impressed.
