The service was friendly, the gardens and swimming pool sparkled and the location convenient. It was great value, but the nicest part was the smiles of the staff and people like the free shuttle bus driver Wilberforce. The ladies at reception were very kind, and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.Rooms: 5/5
The two ladies at the reception are amazing. The first day we had some troubles and they did their best to help us as much as they could. Big and clean rooms. A bit old-fashioned maybe, but we like it, it's a bit retro style. Comfortable beds. All facilities you need. Strong wifi in the room. Free shuttle service every hour from/to the airport. We really recommend this accommodation! The last day of our trip we came back here. Nothing to complain.
Must say that the lady was really friendly and helpful. Nice and close to the airport. Service rating excellent. But the room was not worth the money spend for one night. I'm not sure about the breakfast as I'm leaving to early. Rooms: Room was clean. But no warm water to shower. Not enough towels for every guest. Noteworthy details: Close to airport.

This is a budget option close to the airport. They have back generators and gas hot water because of the rolling blackouts. Jets from the airport can be loud. The staff is very nice and helpful. Super fast wifi! Security is good. Safety: Very secured

Stayed for 50 days here, when i was in Johannesburg for my professional training at OR Tambo airport. Pro’s 1 Special price for pilots. 2 Peaceful& Quiet vibe. 3 Free airport pick and drop on schedule during the day 4 Free breakfast good portion 5 Swimming Pool 6 Basic amenities in room like fridge, microwave, heater, electronic safe, electric kettle, hot & cold water supply. 7 Wifi 8 Airport just 5-10 mins away 9 Very kind hosts Magda, Tilla, Yolanda, & Lauren. Always assisted immediately to resolve issues. 10 Sell quick to use items like beers, sodas, water, toiletries, snacks etc so that you don’t need to go out for these small things. Cons 1 area around is not safe to walk alone, prefer always to use cabs 2 due to power cuts, the lights go off but they have standby power which comes in but with a delay. 3 since many use the guest house for airport transit , one can expect few times, noises next door at early morning. but these are minor issues no doubt this is a 5 star worth it experience.

We had to do last minute change to booking date and Emerald Guest house was able to accommodate us. Very neat room. Very nice breakfast. Shuttle service easy to use.Rooms: 4/5
I think all the rooms are on the ground floor, so no battling with luggage and stairs. We forgot some stuff in our room and they brought them to us at the airport. Very helpful and kind.Rooms: 4/5
