Wow what an amazing experience we had just 2 minutes ago. We filled up our work bakkie with diesel and we would just like to say that we got the BEST SERVICE EVER from Marc. This guy pulled out all the stops, he is supper friendly. He even asked if we have items we would like to throw away and he told us about the current promotion running. We are so impressed we'll done Marc and Engine Durbanville.
This is the only garage I use to put fuel in as I live literally around the corner from it. Every single morning and evening I stop here not only to put fuel in my vehicle but to buy some things aswell. Recently I have been receiving terrible service. There has been a few times now that I have to stand and wait for 15 - 20 mins just so that I can pay... this usually happens in the morning. As a business owner I'd like to say that this is ridiculous, it's not about the money, it's about consistency and time. In the morning we have traffic, we have accidents and many other reason that can make us late but one of it shouldn't be a card machine not working 7 out of 10 mornings. I was ready to pay at another machine but they couldn't because the machine was still transacting but not sending anything through. You guys made me late for a client which makes me look unreliable. Makes my business look bad all because you can't make sure your card machines are working properly. When you have a problem with something and it inconveniences your clients, you fix it and try to keep your clients happy. Not sit with the same problem time after time. It's ridiculous. I'm sure I don't have to mention at this point that I will now take my business somewhere else, the R500 - R600 fuel I put in daily I will now take to another garage because if this happened so many times and still no one fixed it, I don't think it will ever be fixed. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS GARAGE TO ANYONE.
One of my favourite petrol stations. Professional, friendly, competent and speedy. Neat and clean as well with good management. The convenience store is always well-equipped and the car wash is of good standard. BestDrive is also located next to it for any emergency automotive needs. The other Engen across the road which used to be a Caltex has none of the above and is lacking in all departments.
Be very careful. You will easy pay more than the amount you should actually pay. My car's tank is 45l but later I saw I paid for 55L.
The shift on duty at 18h00 on 18/11/2022 were useless. I arrive and sit in my bakkie while all around me are helped. One female attendant then goes to help someone who arrived after me ??? I eventually left and spent my R 1400.00 at the other Engen which is being renovated. Clueless, what must one do ?
First time I've ever gotten good service at this petrol station. Marvel was the petrol attendant that helped me. Went out of his way with his service. I posted this review and got the response back saying I could email them the report so that they can 'sort it out'. It's been about a month and I've received no reply to the email. It seems they just say that to appear like they're taking the request seriously. I even sent a follow-up email, no response.
Car wash experience - Would not recommend as my car still had dirt residue on it. Difficult to see on the photo but there are tiny yellow spots everywhere.
I just want to give a huge kudos...staff is always friendly no matter what time I stop there. I especially want to name Charles as he is always willing to help and has the best advice.
