Spent a weekend here for the Amashova bicycle race. An early breakfast on race day was out of the question. Tried to get a morning coffee before heading out, but was told, simply no. Rooms are a little small but fully kitted out. Great breakfast, if you fit in their times. The two pools are one kiddies pool and one small pool. Heated was great but a little warm in summer. Walkability: So much just 5 minutes walk.
I had the best experience ever. The staff is ever friendly. The food was fresh and well prepared. Our room was always clean, the linen was clean and fresh. I'd love to visit them once again :-
My wife and i stayed for a week. The room was very clean and smelled absolutely amazing. the bed was super comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday. The bathroom was clean and the shower was amazing. Even though there was loadshedding everyday, the lights stayed on thanks to the hotel's generator. It was very quiet, even though thre were some groups having a function in the courtyard. The noise was kept to a minimum and by Ten it was over. On the first night we had a problem with the safe. after reporting it, maintenance was on it the same time. {Excellent Service}. One of the nights it was much cloder than usual. we asked for an extra blanket and within minutes housekeeping brought us the blanket. we were very impressed with the prompt service. i have to mention the staff. My compliments to them. They were absolutely amazing. From the cleaner to the servers in the restaurant. Such friendly sand efficient service was unexpected. it really made our stay worthwile. The Breakfast and supper buffet in the restaurant was amazing. a large variety of dishes to choosde from. It was absolutely deliscious. A small little issue though, is some of the tables in the restaurant were a bit wonkyunstable. But overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely be back and will reccomend to friends and family. Thank you.
Excellent service and experience at the Mnandi Restaurant for my dads birthday dinner. Thank you to Christopher, Cameron, Tshidi and our waitress for their amazing service, kindness and professionalism. Thank you for the welcome sign and complementary slice of cake for my dads birthday. Superb food and atmosphere all around. Will definitely be coming often.
We stayed here over the weekend, and our experience was amazing! From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle we were mesmerised by everyone's hospitality! All the staff are so welcoming & friendly, very well trained! The concierge staff, the receptionists, the bar staff, the waiters, room service staff, breakfast service staff, chefs, hotesses just everyone was so amazing! They really treated us well! The hotel itself is so classy, the rooms are clean and comfy. The dining/ bar area is elegant, serving tasty food & drinks! Lovely pool area and the water was amazing! This is definitely a wonderful establishment to stay at... And we will absolutely be visiting again soon!!!
Value for money...and then some! Usually you get what you pay for, but in this case, you get a whole lot more. The accomodation is not luxurious but we'll above "normal". Everything you'd need from comfort, convenience and service is on offer. The location is the winner here. A few minutes walk in any direction leaves you spoilt for choice - a world class beach area, one of the biggest shopping malls in the southern hemisphere, businesses if you're there on a business trip, an array of popular and unique eateries, a gas station, a 24hr convenience store and a beautiful park with a mini lake. The food/service is a spread. What a great variety that doesn't come across as bulk cooking. It's a buffet of beauty. Each dish I tried felt like it was made to order and for the week I dined there for breakfast, lunch and dinner...not a single meal was disappointing. Garden Court uMhlanga is a unique little gem that will see me on my next trip to Durban! Walkability: Very close to amenities, restaurants and a huge shopping mall not too far away
The hotel is close to all the important points, entertainment, shopping and thr beach. The service from the porter, the reception and the restaurant is good, the chef gives you alot of options, they have an appetizing vegetarian choice as well. I would go back many more times.Rooms: 4/5
Location is perfect, however, the state of the rooms and the quality of service have deteriorated drastically post COVID-19 lockdowns. One can only hope this once glorious establishment can reclaim its grandeur in the future.Rooms: 2/5
People and staff is super nice. Food is exellent. Rooms is clean neat and very comfortable. Coffee machine is very slow and it takes loooong to get coffee. One lift on a Friday especially in the evening was very time consuming and. Overall its a exellent place to stay.
Nice place, nice view, good reception and excellent rooms. Waiters are rather slow and not so helpful. No wifi backup. 7-9 December we had no wifi, which was a serious inconvenience for me as a foreignerRooms: 5/5
