Gariep A Forever Resort

I recently stayed at the resort for one night and had a wonderful experience. The location of the resort is absolutely stunning, situated right on the banks of the Gariep Dam with breathtaking views of the water. The amenities at the resort were top-notch, including a restaurant. The staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The room was also stocked with all the amenities we needed, including a mini fridge. Overall, we felt that the value of our stay was excellent. We loved that we were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a getaway in a beautiful location.

Wonderful destination for fishing. Awesome swimming pool with slides, tennis courts in excellent well maintained condition. Walks on the resort are many and lots of birds and small wildlife can be spotted. Each chalet has a private braai area. Excellent destination for a big get together for various ages. A good stop over for traveller's from the inland parts of the country going towards the Eastern and western cape coast. Well stocked mini market just before you enter the resort. Kitchen a bit small and rooms old fashioned but linen clean and bed comfortable. Bathrooms have been updated, are a good size and pleasant.

Had a nice stay over Christmas. Overall good experience and fun activities. Clean pool and facilities, except for Christmas. Unfortunately, there was little to no control regarding guests. Various vehicles of day visitors entered the overnight area for the day with multiple vehicles and taxis. Bathrooms were disgusting as it couldn't handle the amount of people. The racket they made were something else. Pity. Rest of the visit was nice.

We slept over for one night, on our way to PE. Booking process is a breeze. Grassy campsite with trees that provide ample shade. Staff members are friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms are kept clean and have showers and bathtubs. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and kiosk. Security patrols the grounds at night. In contrast to the peaceful surroundings of Gariepdam, there was a very rowdy group making noise until very early in the morning. Better enforcement of noise rules is needed.

Stunning level grass, electrified sights. However the sites are a tad too close to one another, which if that is fine by you is great. Those of us spoilt by larger, more spacious sites feel slightly hemmed in. Ablutions are a real trek to get to but are simply world class. So that offsets a minor inconvenience. Friendly and clean.

Stayed here for more than a week.I went cycling every morning for about an hour. My wife and I launched our boat and went fishing every day. The launching facilities, accommodation, restaurant, cleaning staff etc. were all top notch. We really experienced a very relaxed vacation. Will definitely return.Rooms: 5/5

A great place for a weekend away. The house keeping team exceeded my expectations. The night time security lady could have been nicer though. Its not our fault that no one told us that we need a gate pass.Rooms: 4/5

We stayed over for one night. It is a beautiful campsite with lots of grass and tree's. The bathrooms was spotless and cleaned. We had a amazing walk with Beatiful views.Location: 5/5

Highlight: Clean, kids friendly and serviced caravan park! Will come again. Ablutions are cleaned each day even during peak shower times floors are mopped. The toilets have toilet paper. Caravan stands have good grass cover and some tree canopies. Stands have also been paved where you caravan tent would go. Power points with the blue round plugs and water taps at each grouping of 4 stands. Rubbish bins and braais are cleaned each morning during peak times. Swimming pool is extremely large and very clean. It's a cold water pool. Had organised entertainment during peak season with music at the pool. Pool is between 1.2 and 0.9m deep. Kids from 8 can stand anywhere in the pool. There are no other deeper pools, so totally safe for kids to swim by themselves.

Clean and neat Chalets with friendly staff and well kept grounds. The Chalets need some touch up paint on the outside though. Thank you for the great stay!Rooms: 4/5
